iPhone 5 is for existing iPhone owners who are willing to pay a lot for marginal feature upgrades, .5" more screen and buy an adapter so it works for all their existing accessories.

iPod Touch is for children who aren't allowed cell phones.

iPod Nano is for cheap people looking for a last minute Christmas gift for someone.

Droid Razr @ 7.1mm. Though now that I think about it, it does have a hump by the camera, not sure how much thicker that is but it isn't much.

It's 11.1mm with the hump taken into account.
