So Monster Hunter belongs to Nintendo now? Lol, makes me feel sad for all the people complaining about MH4 on 3DS.
You're not dreaming. Capcom has announced AA5 and MH3G for Wii U/3DS. And ofc, they're coming to the West. MH3GU has ONLINE too. What more could you ask? It's a shame what happened with Megaman, but these announcements was Capcom's redemption for me.

99% chance you won't be able to, MH3 and 3G are different games (unlike Ultimate and 3G.)
Both versions are confirmed for all regions. (Except for Japan, where they already have the 3DS version as 3G.)
Both versions will be released in March.

Well, as the demand for voice chat increased, they had to reduce the maximum amounts of players in lobbies from 6 (like in the Japanese version of Tri) to four, to compensate for the bandwidth or some weird reasoning.
And at the end of the day NO ONE used voice chat.
I even forgot it's there.
So many hours of development wasted for nothing.
It's an HD port with online play.

But everything that is in Tri is in Ultimate too? Then it shouldn't be that difficult to implement.

The Tri portion of Ultimate isn't the same. It has been altered and modified to incorporate all the additions and changes in content/mechanics.

cross-platform play and save-game transfer (transfarring harr harr^^) between the 3DS and Wii U version is a key feature. both versions have been announced for US/EU.

what. I'm certain you can message players on a quest if you're in the the same city. Would be good out of city too, but can definitely msg them when you're in the city and they're questing.

So I'm really excited about this right now, as by the time MH3 came out I couldn't allow myself to go near it as I had a very very important exam coming up two months later, and thus all my usual online friends had allready moved on to other games, were on summer vacation etc. I still logged 150 hours on it, but damn I barely finished the single player quests, I never even saw deviljiho... and i absolutely adored the game.
This is so perfect for me as no matter what happens in January, I'll be finished with University in March so yeah, bring it on, I'm there day one for both versions.
