Can someone fix the OP? It doesn't even have the PR in it.
About as useful as a "First!" post.
could this mean MH4 gets a console version down the road?
While that would be nice, the changes made from Tri to Tri G would make that incredibly unlikely. It's also a locked save on the Wii, which you're unable to do anything with unless you're equipped with homebrew.
What?? Haven't they explicitly say so on the japonese stream? If i remember correctly there was a tri logo and a tri g HD logo with arrows pointing at it saying it would be transfered!
Please...don't tell me that was my imagination..
Wait. So, is 3G different from 3?
If not, why are so many people excited for an HD port of a Wii game? Other than the fact it's Monster Hunter in the US, of course.

3G is Tri with several new weapon types and a good number of new monsters. It's a rather large expansion.
Tri G has a lot lot more content that Tri (more weapons and monsters)
Oh ok. Well that's nice then. I just hope MonHon 4 comes to Wii U later down the road.
You could totally play it on your 3DS if you have one.

Is it at all possible to have more than one save file for the 3DS game?
If I have both the Wii U and 3DS version, it would be nice to have the game and play co-op with housemates or friends without them needing yet another copy.
Also, because it connects the Wii U to local Wifi on the 3DS, I wonder if you could link up 2-4 Wii U together for local play.
Not a super hardcore fan, so no online is not a deal breaker, though it would be nice to have. For me that's not even a problem or a tough decision.
Monster Hunter, for me, is not fun without the online component.
Good thing is you can also play Bayonetta 2.God dammit, now I have to buy this system. Fuck me
Monster Hunter Tri
# Small Monsters: 17
# Large Monsters: 18
# Total Monsters: 35
Monster Hunter Tri G
# Small Monsters: 22
# Large Monsters: 50
# Total Monsters: 72
In a game about hunting monsters, the amount of monsters and monster variety is pretty important.
Yes!
The superior double version army grows!
Eat dry rolls or bread. Cup noodles are too expensive now! It's time for more cup noodles.![]()
OK, so Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is the European name of 3G and the Wii U HD 3G or are the Ultimate versions completely new? I'm a bit confused now.
I put 300+ hours into just 18 boss monsters...
I think I could buy ultimate and be set on games for a gen...
Did they say if this game would support DLC at all?

Ah, alright. So it's just another Name for the same game. Thanks for clarificationMonster Hunter 3 Ultimate is both a release of Japan's Monster Hunter 3G (3DS) and a port of it to Wii U (with online). The Wii U version is getting released in Japan as "Monster Hunter 3G HD Ver."
They're all essentially the exact same game, except as mentioned, the Wii U version has online.
the 3ds version is offline only? ._.
T_T that would be ... :7
Yes, there's no new 3DS version coming out for Japan as far as I could tell. I'd imagine the TRANSFARRING would be done with either a downloadable app or a patch.
Bayonetta and Monster Hunter HD > my hatred for low tech and control gimmicks. Well played Nintendo.hahahaha this is the game that made you want to buy it? it was funny how you said you wouldn't in the bayo thread.
Bayonetta and Monster Hunter HD > my hatred for low tech and control gimmicks. Well played Nintendo.
It's almost like... software sells hardware and not beefy hardware and gimmicks!

So compared to Tri G, there won't be any new content for 3 Ultimate, be it WiiU version or 3DS version? It came out months ago in Japan was offline then...
Of all the games to use the pro controller for, why would you ever use it for Monster Hunter?!
