I hope this hasn't already been covered, but I'm new to the Monster Hunter series & curious. I'm about 25 hours deep into Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii & I love it so far. Any word on whether it's possible to import your character/progress from Tri into this version of the game?

Nope. You can't, and you shouldn't want to either.

The Tri portions of the game are different. You'd be missing out on new content if you retained your armor and weapons.

Include me in that group! I was hunting with them all the time during the Portable 3rd HD days. Will be doing the same for 3G on the Wii U since we need to get john up to G rank.

Also to reiterate, you can sync your save file between a Wii U copy and 3DS copy of the game.

Play online at home.

Play locally on the go.

Makes sense to me.
