Mother Jones: "Romney Tells Millionaire Donors What He REALLY Thinks of Obama Voters"

Romney was sent to make Bush look good by comparison. That's the only way I will believe everything he's said and done thus far. Or maybe their 2016 candidate won't look so bad by comparison either. Whatever is the case, Romney is the GOP's rock bottom candidate. I can't fathom a much worse choice than him.

I think we saw all of their worst during the primary. It was one bad candidate after another.

Bachmann would have been HILARIOUS though, in a tragic way. I feel kind of sorry she married a gay man.

damn, i forgot gop never had a chance

Oh man, I feel entitled because I'd like people to have food and care if health issues arise.

Holy shit, this guy...this guy.

Yeah, but Obama doesn't look like a guy I could have a beer with. He's Muslim.

And the ironic thing is, you truly COULD have a beer with Obama and not Romney, since Romney only "tasted it once in his wayward college days", meanwhile Obama tries the local beer when he goes places all the time.

I wasn't sure if I was going to vote for Obama, but this guy comes off as such a slimy prick I might just vote for Obama out of spite.

Fits in quite well with the Republican view of the poor, living the high life off the government with their luxurious refrigerators.

A good test to see whether someone is a selfish asshole or an empathetic human is to tell them that half the country doesn't pay income taxes and to see whether their response is:

1) What can we do to make them pay their fair share?
Or 2) What can we do to help them earn their fair share?

He is also making his own micro-brew from inside the white house lol.

Although I know everything said to be how Republicans really feel, I just can't believe Romney is saying it out loud.

He probably thought no one was taping the talk, much like what happened to Obama during the 2008 primaries where he got caught with the "Clinging to guns and religion" voice over.

I think the GOP will do very well in 2016. They have a lot of charismatic candidates who haven't been running for president for what seems like an eternity. Romney is stale.

I mean campaign wise. Romney has had some many gaffes and missteps that nearly everything he does makes him look bad. While those choices might be worse, I have to imagine they would try to run a smarter campaign than Romney has been.

And this could be your President, America!

Not America only, if this tool becomes presidents, his policies will affect Europe too and the rest of the world. Look what Bush left the world.

This guy is on course to invade Iran when he becomes president because that's what the repubs do, invade countries for giggle and leave the world a dangerous place by the time they leave office.

I really REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLY hate that that has become a measuring stick by which to judge a potential president here in the U.S.

Even if I drank beer, I don't want a president that's "one of the guys". I want a fucking leader.

P.S. Before someone reads my post and assumes that I am a Romney supporter, I am not even in the slightest. I just don't think that is anything we should be wanting from our leaders.

Well, if Romney's stance is to be believed, he'd only be leader of half of America. The other half can fuck themselves, apparently.

You know, having observed the criteria the far right uses to decide their votes by, a beer might be raising the bar considerably.

Let's nip this in the bud. That's an out of context quote a la "you didn't build that." In context, he's saying $250k and under is middle income. He doesn't specify a floor.

Romney Apologetic! Have fun trying to park your stretch limo at the polling booth come November, jerk!

I agree, but once again, blame the Republicans for that one. Between Nixon's reprehensible behavior and the GOP making a federal case out of Bill Clinton's primary character flaw, attention has not been on candidates' actual leadership abilities for decades. Although in truth you could probably take it back a bit further and say that it began when JFK beat Nixon in a TV debate because he was better looking.

I don't like the way he phrased his response. He said, "200 to 250k, and less" instead of just saying 250 and under, making the "and less" sound like "oh shit, I just said middle class was 200-250! Better fix that quick."

Also, the fact that he thinks anywhere near 250k is middle income (regardless of where you live) is ridiculous on its own. Middle income for a family of 4 is 50 to 100k.

150k and up is not middle class.
