Score. Halloween section at target had piles of ghost figs. Thanks ghostmind. Snagged 4.

Time for some modular buildings to get haunted before the Haunted House shows up.

No problem. They should have had a table set up with Monster Fighters stuff, unless they sold out.

Speaking of which, I am jealous of the ghosts and mini figs you got there. I check Target daily (two different locations) and never find the Ghost mini fig. Also, you got the two series 8 figs I need with the Robot and Cowgirl. Have extras? I got extras of many other figs.

Nope. I picked up 4 bags and felt them all. Those are the only 4 I have. I did want the Santa though.

Bone, have you checked the Halloween section? That's where I found them.

Yes they are located in the Halloween section not the Lego section. For me they were on an end display near the candy.

Well I was to late to help it seems.

Will Target ever be selling the ghost polybags online? Nearest Target to me is over an hour away, and while I'd like to pick up a few of the ghost polybags and a zombie coffin car or two, I don't really want to drive that far simply for that purpose.

EDIT2: And CUUSOO has brought the possibility of this:

I would be so happy to see this. I missed picking up the previous Sandcrawler set and have always regretted it.

Who's going to get the B-Wing? Seems controversial.

I could see where the "controversy" stems from: high price to piece ratio, and no figs included for that price. I don't plan on picking it up because I don't really like the B-Wing design, but that's not LEGO's fault. I think it's a very well-designed ship, and I'm sure B-Wing lovers and SW lovers are chomping at the bit to get it.

For any Kiwi's lurking in this thread, Farmers have just dropped $40 off the price of their exclusive Gold Leader Y-Wing (from $120 to $80) as part of their toy sale. Nabbed that and the Mandalorian/Clone Trooper packs which were half price as well.

Christmas better get here soon, there's a lot of unopened Lego boxes in this house!

So, I'm still organizing that huge lot I bought a few weeks back. I just put together the original X-Wing that was in that lot and I have to say, I really dig it. It's not as detailed as the newer ones but it's sturdy as hell looks really nice. There's just something nifty about it's simplicity and it's style. I recommend it to anyone who may like the X-Wing models.

I just picked up 6 more and got repeats of each of these. I'll trade you cowgirl and robot. No problem. I want a Santa And football player. Sound good?

I'm definitely going to get this. I saw it at Brickfete over the summer and trust me when I say that it looks more impressive in person than it does in pictures. I'm sure that most LEGO stores will have one built and on display, so anyone who's on the fence about it can see it for themselves in person. I originally had no plans to buy the SSD until I saw its awesomely awesome awesomeness on display at a LEGO store. Yeah, it's more expensive than I'd like it to be, but this is exactly the type of scenario for which you save VIP points!

Yea and if you look at that sites pics at the zoom ins, it has incredible detail all over it. Frankly think it's a far better investment than the shitty Jabba playset that came out which I think was way over priced.

Man, so jealous. We're getting Targets up here in Canada, but not until next year. Are those ghost/clock polybags a one off or has it been around before?

what do people think of the Unimog? or has anyone has it here? well worth the price?

I have it, only halfway through it. Taking it kinda slow cause I am not a one sitting kind of guy. I am only comparing the Unimog to the Motorized Excavator and 4x4 Crawler that I have finished already. The Unimog is the largest technic vehicle ever. The pneumatic system is pretty neat and there is a bunch of functions for the arm using a switch system. The suspension system is pretty good when you push the unimog over some obstacle. If you don't have a motorized excavator, I would get that over the Unimog because the gear system is really complicated, and that it could be out of production soon.

The only thing it lacks is that it is not remote controlled, which is why I am taking it slowly. I found some tips on eurobricks forum to add a few more motors and remote control it, so I am in the process of customizing it. The 4x4 Crawler also helps as a baseline since they have similar suspension system(minus the motors).

Does anyone know if there are any upcoming sales that include technic sets? The previous TRU sales excluded them.

Sale Alert!

TRU website is having an unadvertised sale for BUY ONE GET ONE 40% OFF.

This sale covers the modular buildings and a couple other large sets. For two modulars (with free shipping) this comes out to $120 each.

Thanks, I got the grand emporium and pet shop. Now my firebrigade won't be alone.

Where do I claim my lego-gaf membership card? :p

so

are there any promos in October on lego.com?

Death Star Time Lapse Video

The audio is a bit out of sync, as I was too lazy and tired to edit the music to be the exact length. And the end of the video gets a bit jumpy. It was hard keeping the build in frame yet still be able to see the pieces being assembled.
Dammit, Phonciple! Now I want to get the Death Star. Son of a brick...

Seriously though, that was an awesome video! The build outlasted the Imperial March. Impressive... most impressive. Also LOL at your cats in the background!

Damnit PhoncipleBone, I had no interest in the Death Star before your video, and despite the quality of the video, you have done nothing to sway me in my interest!

Oh god I'm so weak T_T

EDIT: I realize that Pete just said pretty much this same thing above me, so I will try to add something. Anyone have any special plans for a display setup for Halloween? I saw a few people with the Haunted House, and I have managed to collect most of the Monster Fighters sets and will be getting the Haunted House sometime next month, but I'm not sure how to display it other than simply "here is my Halloween shelf, isn't it pretty?"

The Death Star is the best set out right now. I I were to get rid of all my Lego, (and believe me I've contemplated it) I would keep the Death Star as it is such a wonderful set with tons of displayability. It makes for a great minifig repository even if they don't belong in the Star Wars universe. Just be prepared to buy a ton more Stormtroopers to fill out the criminally low 2 that are included.

What do you think is a fair price for that polybag ghost? I'm in Holland and they don't sell it here, only through Marktplaats (Dutch Ebay)

Is it available in Germany? If so any Germans here who are willing to send me one? I think it's about 90 cents to send from there, so that would be cheapest for me.
