I completed my set of series 2 figs today. Whoever it was in this thread that recommended Lasting Toys in the GTA rules. A few more series 3, 4 & 5s and I will have the full set.
Yes, I am ignoring series 1 until I find a good price online.
This info comes from a TRU employee at the CAG forums. TRU will be giving out Vintage Minifigure Collections as part of their annual Bricktober promotion. They are pretty pricey on Amazon, but the quality of the plastic is supposed to be lower than regular minifigs.

It's really strange to me that the Hobbit and LotR are considered separate themes, but with the Hobbit trilogy on the horizon I suppose there's no way around it.

Just FYI, there is a bn coupon out this weekend for 20% off one item in stores. The code is 102731. They almost always have the entire architecture line and many stories have Friends and Monster Fighter stuff in. There is an online coupon out there as well.

Both ships and the Isle De Muerta sets are all you need IMO. You'll have all the major characters and the Isle set has a great little boat and treasure chest that compliments the ships a great deal. The ships are amazing builds and amoung the best display sets I own. They really are fantastic.
I have the Black Pearl. The build is alright, but it does look pretty sweet fully assembled.

I have Queen Anne's Revenge and Whitecap Bay and recommend both of 'em, particularly the former. Great sets.
The cannon in Whitecap Bay is kinda lame, as are the mechanisms for destroying the structure, but they are both easily designed out. The lighthouse itself is gorgeous.

Working on the Death Star time lapse video right now. This build is going MUCH faster than I remember the first time going. Perhaps it is familiarity and the fact that I have the pieces pretty well sorted.

The rumor going around various LEGO sites right now is that next year will see a new version of the UCS X-wing. It's a divisive issue, as some think that a new version would devalue the original, and that the UCS series should be about collectibles, while others (including those who never got the chance to get the original) would welcome a new version. Another argument is that LEGO should continue making unique UCS's and not start to redo what has come before.
Personally, I welcome a new UCS X-wing, and would love to see what LEGO could do with it 12 years after the original.

I am all for them redoing UCS sets, just to see the refinements. However, I am against an X-Wing UCS. Sure, it was the first UCS set out there, but we just got a non UCS version that was awesome this past year. And it has been years since a regular Star Destroyer, and the UCS is in serious need of an overhaul.
How about an UCS AT-AT or AT-ST?

I would like to see a UCS AT-AT, which would probably need a large piece count to do it justice.
A new UCS Star Destroyer is tops on my list too, but if it means a new UCS version of a couple other ships before we get there, then I am okay with it.
And of course, the possibility of a new UCS Falcon - making ownership possible for all of us who missed the original and don't want to shell out $2,000+ to own one.

The motorized at-at set was great. Outside of being bigger, don't see huge benefit of it being done in UCS, it really is not that detailed of a vehicle.
Imagine it could happen though, but also expect a UCS Slave 1 eventually.

No problem. They should have had a table set up with Monster Fighters stuff, unless they sold out.
Speaking of which, I am jealous of the ghosts and mini figs you got there. I check Target daily (two different locations) and never find the Ghost mini fig. Also, you got the two series 8 figs I need with the Robot and Cowgirl. Have extras? I got extras of many other figs.
