Gateways is like, Peak Indie Game. An indie sidescroller with pixel art and quirky humor and a puzzle mechanic gimmick that is clearly the devs trying to make 2D Portal. All it needs is an ending that's either a lawlz whacky randum munkee cheez xD musical bit or a somber message about bulimia and they'll never have to make another indie game ever again.
A lot of the games Patrick does QL's for is kind of what I think Brad and Ryan were referencing when talking about Hell Yeah. About how it's not the typical 2d game that gets made now.

Watching patrick play that was aweful, painful and horribly unprofessional. He needed way more than just a few hours with the game.
I mean compare this quick look to hell yeah's quicklook.
One of them is actually informative and entertaining, the other is watching a dude play a game he's not good at and hasn't even completed half of.

It was infuriating watching Patrick try and play the game. It took him way too long to figure out that he was placing the gateways in the wrong order to become smaller.
Not really. Mostly lots of "Eww boobs, were game journalist, were above this!" type comments.
