Any news at all on Carmagedon IOS? It was supposed to release Summer 2012 (and will be free for 24h on launch), but we are almost October..

Interesting strategy. I didn't know it'll be free for a day

That would hardly be mindblowing. I'm sensing a big backlash tomorrow.Toucharcade is teasing Phoenix Wright something tomorrow. I hope they realize that if they're trolling, fans are gonna tear em apart lol
"TouchArcade ‏@toucharcade
If youre a fan of Phoenix Wright games, prepare to have your mind blown at some point tomorrow afternoon Ive said too much!"
I'm guessing it's stealth release of Phoenix Wright HD or release date soon, like next weekish

If you enjoy old-school RPG's like Might and Magic and Etrian Odyssey I would highly recommend Undercroft (free).

I have an iPhone 5 coming soon and was wondering what are some must have games that are optimized for the new iPhone and preferably are a better fit for the iPhone rather than the iPad?
whats the best diablo-esque game? with coop preferably.
Anyone know how The Last Express runs on an iPad 1?
Well, about the animations...it's done on purpose.
You will love it or hate it, but it's the chosen style of the game...more like a comic book than a proper animated game (sometimes animations are fluid on purpose...just to mark it was a chosen effect).
The colors are particular too, trying to mimic the Liberty art style (common in the start of the 1900...when the game is set).
It's not that back in the days animators weren't able to do fluid animations.
so I got my first iPhone last week, and I'm actually surprised at how much I'm enjoying gaming on this thing. Picked up Rayman Jungle Run, Final Fantasy Tactics, Sword of Fargoal and Sword and Sworcery. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a traditional RPG to play. I was thinking FFI - III at some point even though they're kinda pricey. Anything else?
Tiny Tower.
Radballs updated with Retina iPad support.
Oh yeah, it's also free.
Pinball Arcade just updated. It won't let me buy any of the new tables because the app insists I am not connected to the internet. Looking at their Facebook page, I'm not the only one.
Spelltower is awesome! and I got it for FREE from starbucks.
Humanity redeemed!
Oh, you got that as well? Phew, thought I was alone on that. Damnit, all I want to do is play Taxi... I've waited two months!Pinball Arcade just updated. I have to admit Bad Piggies is a lot better than what I expected it to be.
Did we have a link for a list of the iPhone 5 updated games?![]()
Your kung fu is weak! I just googled to find that it's one of the three Final Freeway gamesWhat game is that? Google isn't helping.

We updated Fruit Ninja last night! Been a while. New Blades and Backgrounds!
Also we've reintegrated Twitter posting into the application, now using Apple's stuff.
We're working on a lot more stuff at the moment too![]()
Final Freeway 2R.
Must have IMO.

Am I the only one who did not enjoy Rayman? The graphics are wonderful and everything, but the level design relies heavily on trial and error and memorization rather than skill. You dont know what's lurking behind the edge of the screen, but are often expected to act as if you do (must preemptively perform some action to avoid death or catch a lum, otherwise tough luck, try again.)
And the land of the dead maps push this design philosophy to the extreme. How far does the branch I'm running on extend? *dies* Oh I see, next time I will know exactly when to jump! (rinse, repeat until you complete the level.)
Does anyone else find this kind of gameplay boring? This element of gameplay is available in all platformers, but it is usually balanced with other elements that challenge the player's skills. For example, Super Meat Boy sometimes has offscreen dangers that will kill you on the first try, though in general you usually know what lies ahead (thanks to widescreen res) and are often challenged to perform platforming moves accurately, not simply memorize dangers and tap your way to victory.
I guess the fact that the game relies on a one-button mechanic severely limited what devs could do with the design. I personally prefer games with more than just one button like LoE 2.

I don't think the one-button gameplay limited them here, to be honest. Like I've said in previous posts, the game is more along the lines of, say, the DS Sonic games or the console version of Mirror's Edge. There's definitely a lot of memorization, and I'm sure there are other folks out there who share your feelings about that type of gameplay. I don't happen to be one of them, but I feel where you're coming from. If done right, the learning element of these types of speed-run platformers is euphoric, as was Mirror's Edge (again, console version). It can, of course, also be quite frustrating. I eat this stuff up myself. As a matter of fact, at first glance, I thought the game offered a skimpy amount of content. But after hours of play, I feel like I got a bargain on it.
FF2R rocks fuckin nutsacks, the original was not good but the sequel is amazing. It's done by a bunch of guys who were at Square Enix R&D and quit to make GOOD GAMES
