You're right, I was being a bit hard on Akito. I mean, the original show had this:

This just in from the Aniplex USA panel at AWA: Nisemonogatari will be a domestic release and most likely the same $150 price tag as Bakemonogatari.
Good at censoring? Pure wholesome angelic girl confirmed.
Guess Ill be waiting for years for the second releases of these, if they get to them.
Good at censoring? Pure wholesome angelic girl confirmed.
It would be extra-evil for Aniplex to have priced Bakemonogatari at $150 to create the expectation among buyers that each subsequent -monogatari series would be priced similarly, and then when they've hooked fans with the introductory price they reveal that Nise will be $400 in hopes that they can successfully prey on the completionist tendencies of collectors.
Wise business strategy? Probably not, but never underestimate eeeeeeeevil.
You have to have a fairly encyclopedic knowledge of smut to be an effective censor, though!
Kokoro Connect 13
This was a great episode that served as a rather satisfying conclusion to the third arc. It wasn’t my favorite or the most exciting arc of the three, but only because it wasn’t allowed the more relaxed pacing of the previous two. It did, however, excellently remedy several of the flaws within the story and characterization.
Inaba is easily my favorite character, but I really enjoyed the heightened focus on Iori throughout this episode, even though it only seemed to scratch the surface of her emotional scars. Iori's subtle moments of self-doubt that have been delicately placed throughout the narrative continued in this episode, what with all her verbalized regrets and implied failures in the past, culminating with Heartseed's rather tempting offer to allow her to correct these mistakes, and, even though it signified a bit of a rushed resolution, Inaba and Taichi taking Iori's hands was a nice moment, as it alluded to how strong their friendship continues to be. Her secretive torments, of course, only seem slightly resolved, and it definitely appears as though she still has a plethora of hidden, painful emotions that have yet to be addressed and fully examined. Not to mention, the uncertainties concerning her true nature that still plague her. This vague, wavering dichotomy between the façade she wears for others and her actual self has always been exceptionally portrayed, deftly hinting at what is yet to come for her.
Her last line was especially illuminating, since it effectively foreshadows the furthering of her gradual development, and this moment likely sets up what a portion of the next arc will focus on, particularly that of her love for Taichi. Of course, I'm not entirely certain that she ever strongly loved him in the first place, considering how she continually distanced herself from any real romantic development, portrayed particularly when she allowed Inaba to aggressively pursue a relationship with Taichi without any sort of protest. As such, her emotional connection towards Taichi appears to have potentially evolved into just another aspect of the layered mask that she's constructed over time. Knowing all this, it seems a rather inevitable conclusion that the Taichi x Inaba pairing will eventually materialize. Of course, I think this is the best direction to take, since the Inaba x Taichi relationship has always been far more believable and interesting, consistently solidifying itself as one of the best dynamics of the show. They certainly have more realistic and satisfying chemistry than any he's been shown to have with Iori.
All in all, Kokoro Connect continues to exceed expectations and considerably satisfy with it’s subtle character development, intriguing story, and the terrific manner in which it consistently balances the dramatic emotions with the occasional moments of levity. The blend of all these impressive qualities provide a compelling narrative that rarely ever falters in it's execution. I'm really looking forward to the final arc, and hopefully it delivers with the same excellence of the first three, since, if it does, this will definitely end as one of the best shows of the year.
I should probably clarify (although this is obvious if anyone bothered to read the blurb in the OP!) that Psycho-Pass is not about a "pre-crime" unit like in Minority Report. They are not out to catch people before they commit crimes. That's not what the show is about.
The -system- exists to identify potential offenders, and this system is in place throughout all of society. There are scanners at street corners, patrol robots scanning people in the streets, etc. Potential offenders are indeed "removed from society", but that is not the job of the criminal investigation unit.
The detectives in Psycho-Pass are actual detectives. They investigate actual crime which has been committed, and they go after actual criminals and take them down. Simply having a system that identifies potential criminals does not actually stop crime. Because crime still occurs, obviously the system is imperfect. But it still needs to be dealt with.
What the system then does is that it suggests that the best people in a position to catch criminals would be those who can understand the criminal mind. This would mean people who have not committed any crimes, but have been identified as potential criminals by the system. Some are offered a deal to become detectives in the criminal investigation department, in exchange for their freedom. They are the enforcers. The "hounds" which do the dirty work.
To ensure that these "dangerous" collaborators are kept in check, the system also selects and assigns those found to have the most elite potentials in society to take a career path as intendants in the same department. Their job is the lead and manage the enforcers, and making sure that if they ever go out of line they are taken down. They hold the leash on the hounds.
30 seconds into Sword Art Online 05:
is Kirito seriously?arguing for the sanctity of NPC life
Especially when? AAAAAAAASJGKHDDJGHDJGHGFFFFFFFFNPCs respawn
Great, now your schedule's free for the Aikatsu! challenge.
When's the last time AnimeGAF agreed on liking a J.C. Staff show anyway?
Welcome to modern anime.Hyouka 1 I just started watching this, the opening narrative and how they had the main character introduce himself reminded me of Haruhi. The main character also had the same "I don't care" personalty, and ended up staying in a club because he is weak against a speical type of wierd waifu.
Yes, SAO is as stupid as you think it is.
So I watched Akito and it was actually a lot better than I expected.
I know the main questions on everyone mind has to be: how does the CG animation actually look in motion? The answer is, unfortunately a little wishy-washy: sometimes it looks pretty good, other time it sticks out like a sore thumb. At least when it's used well they really exploit to the fullest:

Both female lead had some kind of strong leadership ability, and their unique ability to control the male lead. They also tend to enjoy chasing after problem, and had the male lead to solve it for them.
The first episode did leave a pretty good impression, every scenes contributed to part of the story, there are barely meaningless scenes at all. Unlike a lot other show, they did not dump you with a million questions in the first episode just to make you watch the next episode.
Why are there no SAO 13 impressions yet? WHY IS MINE THE ONLY ONE?! WHAT ARE YALL DOING?! IT'S SAOTURDAY!
Congrats, you've just seen how 95% of Hyouka episodes will go.
People are busy watching other shows.
Good ones.
Not true man.
"Both female lead had some kind of strong leadership ability, and their unique ability to control the male lead. They also tend to enjoy chasing after problem, and had the male lead to solve it for them."
Is like the entire show.
fffffuuuuuuuuu
cliffhanger
okay
not gonna lie
the second half of this week's SAO was pretty hype
"The main character also had the same "I don't care" personalty, and ended up staying in a club because he is weak against a speical type of wierd waifu. "
Not true.
Are you suggesting that Oreki joined because he wanted to join a club and express his youth in the best means possible and not because he did so against his inhibitions and disparate feelings on the matter from those around him?
I'm saying characters change and as a result that statement doesn't hold true for 95%.
I am apathetic towards Azumanga, probably trending just a pinch to the "don't like" side. Because for whatever reason I associate Azumanga with Lucky Star, and I hate Lucky Star.
I've heard good things about Oh! Edo Rocket too.
There's a lot more to slice-of-life stuff than just cute girls doing cute things (but that's still the best type >_>)
It looks like she is about to brutally murder those innocent kittens.
Seems Sentai has licensed From The New World.
I figured that while I was sleeping, this thread would turn into the Psycho-Pass OT. Show does look nice, though. Anyway.

Going with a twenty-odd raid group is just asking to get wiped out.
Of course Kirito and Asuna will miraculously survive because of protag armour, but still, I want to see the carnage. Especially if it involves Klein.
I thought Kokoro was broadcasting 17 episodes. What is this?

Here's the best argument that I can muster for why moe isn't something that's limited to female characters:

Looks like Sentai picked up BTOOOM! as another of their licenses from this season.
Cockroach girl anime 01
Seriously, japan can make anything adorable.
And to match with today's Anime on Demand announcement, Sentai licenses Busou Shinki.

Cajun. just watch today's episode if anything. It'll answer your question. I promise.
The rest are for the post-release or online I believe. Definitely not airing though. Kinda weird.
What? Seriously? Wow......
What? Seriously? Wow......
Someone tell Sentai to stop licensing every show, because their parent company ADV fucked up doing the same thing.
You guys and your tea jokes about the Brits. Tsk tsk.

I hate it when Im faced with a billion choices and I can't even pick one.

I prefer less choices. More likely to make decisions.
Main reason I hate most open-world games too...
