I agree with Fanatiq on the matter.

I don't think combo is a homophobe just because he said a word in the context he did. But of course there will be people who will want him to get dat axe...which I understand is fair too.

Anyway back o the game.

God Viscant is the biggest fraud evo winner I've seen. Lol.

.. I'm try not to get ban on here, but I really hate this new era where everyone is fucking sensitive as fuck (on the internet). I'm not condoning his action but when the gay guy says it 10 times on stream every day and no one gives 2 fucks, but when the straight guy says it... well it's the end of the fucking world.

Calm the fuck down... Kobe Bryant said it got fined $25,000 and then no one ever gave another flying fuck about it.

But of course Combofiend someone who's not even famous says it and it blows the fuck up.. while A-list celebrities use it on a daily basis and doesn't even reach TMZ.

i agree with this. it's ridiculous to instantly label someone a bigot and homophobic for using an offensive term in that context. immature and foolish? yeah, definitely, but who hasn't done something immature or foolish before?

So does Yipes. So does pretty much every member of the FGC. They also drop even more N bombs.

I think the bigger problem is that Combofiend was having a complex over it with the apology. If he had just said that on stream knowing the mic was still playing and didn't apologize over it... there wouldn't be a big drama over it guaranteed.

Given he's always been an advocate of theory it's hard to believe he's not playing a Virgil team. To an extent I think it might be a case of him thinking he's already peaked because he could figure something out before everybody else, and he knows it's not likely to happen again.

He has a Vergil team, but it's ass. I don't know why he doesn't focus on the Vergil team 100% instead of trying to run his PHX team.
 
Viscant's Haggar is respectable now, and he has new Wesker combos going. I wouldn't say he hasn't improved since Vanilla, but his team has ceased to be a viable team.

Not only has he stated that Vergil is the way to go for him.. he also has alt teams on his game console with Vergil on it.

I really think it's time Viscant retires Phoenix and uses Haggar only for counter picks. His Phoenix isn't on the level of FChamp neither is his defense and even FChamp can't make her work all the time.

Where's the drama over Fanatiq dropping C bombs, F bombs, B bombs and N bombs all over his stream? There isn't one because he isn't apologizing for his actions. It's about the context and Combofiend clearly didn't mean it in a bigot/homophobic context.

So making sure I understand this correctly. Combofiend used a word to describe someone who's gay as being bad, as a way to further demean the handicapped (calling them vegetables)? I'm glad he never got a BrokenTier shirt, because if he had I'd be burning mine right now...

Not the end of the world for me, probably not for the stream monsters. But you have to understand the implications for SB and it's sponsors. That is the shit matters most, and will have ramifications where it matters, with the games.

But yeah even I'm treading light in these discussions because GAF does not forgive or forget.

I'm rechecking this thread, and I don't even know if anyone's ON IT. There's some people expressing disappointment (myself included), but nobody's outright angry/upset at the guy.

There's a group of people who perfectly understand that this was unfortunate, but not some scathing indictment of Peter's personality. And there's a group of people arguing that people should have free reign to use the word and using false equivalencies as their back up. The number of people actually on Peter's back here in this thread seem to number one. maybe two.

I think Combofiend made it a bigger deal than it really is, but he still stepped up and apologized for it. I guess that's a bigot for you guys huh? He's human too.
