PlayStation Store 10/02/12 - Sonic Adventure 2 | Nights | PlayStation Mobile

I'm honestly amazed at the amount of people with + next to their name on the blog. Before it was pretty empty, no one ever had it....

Aaaaand, I'm just going to keep the PS Store Thread community car for another week. Suckahs!

The hell are you guys talking about?
Unfulfilled promises. Turning lemons into lemonade. Also, pictures we can see that you can't.

They put the Ratchet and Clank ripoff on the Playstation Store...
What is this?

Meanwhile, looks like my wallet gets a week off this week. Definitely not buying any of what I'm seeing.

Just Alex Kidd for me, unless I come across some really positive Spelunker impressions.

One small step for man, one giant leap for Grace Chen, screenshots on the US Vita store:

Thank you store people for a reasonably timed update... 3pm here on the east coast, that's what noon out west?

Either way not bad.

Try and get these midnight releases sorted out though. Day 1 AAA games should have midnight releases. Screw retailers.

Neon Alley seems to be broken. Looping the same thing over and over again!

We've got commercials now!

Hopefully some One Piece in a minute...?

Edit: Nope, just a looong Naruto ad.

Double Edit: Seems like the loop has started again...

Why surprised? It's a great service.

Surprised at the amount of people that have signed up. It's not a bad surprise, so relax.

Also, I didn't know where else to post this and I don't think it really warrants a new thread, so I'll post it here

The advantages for developers, Ahmad argued, is that PlayStation Network - which provides the foundation to the service - has over 100 million registered users and has generated over $2 billion in revenue.

$2 billion in revenue from PSN, I think that's kinda low considering PSN has been around since 2006.

Definitely low. They generated $180 million in the first 18 months, or something. I'd have to go find my data.

Here's an article:
http://andriasang.com/com4to/psn_accounts_top_twenty_million/

So $180 million after 30 months with 20 million accounts. They're at 4-5x that many accounts now (although accounts don't mean paying accounts on PS hardware, unfortunately) and the system is nearing six years old.

Edit:
Yuck. Just yuck. Thanks, speevy.

Indeed. Disappointing numbers if they are accurate. For comparison purposes, XBL generated more than $1 billion in revenue in 2009 alone IIRC.

1 week down out of 5 Tuesdays in October and I've only spent $11.99 on Tokyo Jungle. That $100 mark isn't looking very likely.

Sigh can't use Bestbuy.com nor PCGameSupply to get US PSN cards, what's a site that sends the code to your e-mail but doesn't charge a lot for the card itself?
Cuz seriously 60 dollars for a $50 is ridiculous imo =_=
