While I think it's way too early for the GOTY talk, I'm curious how they'll divide disc and downloadable games, since that line has been pretty well blurred in 2012.

Finally got around to the Doom 2 Breaking Bad and rather enjoyed it, but it troubles me that he says doom 2 was an exception to the rule and he wants things to be more confined. I'm sorry, but Doom 2 was way more entertaining then the lantern run or the mile high club. With the Doom 2 run there was always progression and always something new to watch. Those other two games were just the same 5 minute loop over and over again for 5 hours, and I don't know how anyone could stand to watch that for so long.

There's a reason Let's Plays are so popular, and I hope his next thing is a lot more like a difficult version of a let's play then those other things.

Yeah, I'm totally in line with this opinion. The doom breaking brads are the only ones I could watch all the way through. I had to skip through some of the other ones - especially the mile high club one. I just don't have a taste for watching the same short segment getting replayed over and over.

I loved that there was eventual progress with doom 2.

Problem with TNT with community is that they don't interact with the community at all, other players might as well be bots. Maybe instead of playing with random GB people, they should arrange to play with game devs or other industry members, turn on voice chat and talk casually with them.

Except these bots either want to be WAYYYYY too helpful or they become vengeful to an extreme, because they want to be the one to kill the GB member.

Must I remind people of the DayZ video, where that one guy specifically hunted them down using the stream to kill them, and then bragged about it?

To be fair, that seems to a common thing with people streaming DayZ.

And yeah, co-op TNT's / TNT's where they play against each other are way better than community TNT's.

The Doom 2 thing is really super fun to watch. Brad Muir was as hilarious as ever, and the couch crew after he left was great too.

Also it's always cool to see how well old Doom has held up in terms of basic shooting mechanics. So satisfying!

So we're back to this topic again huh? The last time we were on about this I found a blog post I wrote addressing TNTs in May of 2011. Shits not going to change, as much as I wish it would.

Prove me wrong rudds.

For those complaining that this has been a lackluster year for games, I bring back my post from earlier in the thread.

Come on now. There have been a lot of great games, but most of them have actually been downloadable.

Sleeping Dogs
Borderlands 2
Spec Ops (Arguable based on gameplay, but story wise was on a new level)
Gravity Rush
Dragons Dogma
Diablo III
Max Payne 3
Asuras Wrath
Rhythm Heaven
Xenoblade Chronicles.

And we've still got
XCom
Dishonored
Dance Central 3
Assassins Creed III
Need for Speed: Most Wanted
Halo 4
Paper Mario: Sticker Star
Blops 2
New Super Mario Bros. U
and ZombiU.

When it comes to downloads theres
Mark of the Ninja
Trials Evolution
Dust
Sound Shapes
Spelunky
Gods and Kings
FEZ
and Journey.

Some great stuff has come out, and there's great stuff coming. It's been a pretty boss year for games.

It's hard to fathom how Resident Evil, which almost singlehandedly redefined the action genre just two installments ago, has now become such a strange, mediocre pastiche of the better games this series once inspired. What a bitter irony that is.
That was great Brad. Gonna go replay RE4.

"This game is like getting your dick bitten off by Satan, and I would rather gargle cyanide than be in the same building as it is being played"

2/5 Stars.

Brad, you clearly hate it, I don't understand why it's getting a 2. You give fives quite freely, if you hate this as much as you love Mark of the Ninja, it's a 0/5 surely.

That Idle Hands reference is REAL good.

It's playable, so a 0 is out of the question. 0s gets saved for broken shit, like that Steel Battalion game, or Sonic 06.
