So true.

Either I made up lies about the Boston Bomber or I fell for someone else's crap. Either way, I have absolutely no credibility and you should never pay any attention to anything I say, no matter what the context. Perm me if I claim to be an insider

Elway needs to take his politics out of my football. Run the football club and shut the fuck up as far as I'm concerned.

Elway's jobs are the following:

1. Win Superbowls.

2. Sell cars.

3. Cook steaks.

That should be it.

sorry GAF, Romney won this. He was on the offensive, even if he was slinging bullshit. Obama was just lackadaisical and sitting back.

And expect the Ryan/Biden debate to swing towards Ryan.

I agree with the first point.

However Biden is going to walk all over Ryan. He gets to take his gloves off since he isn't up against Sarah Palin and Ryan is an EASY target.

What The Daily Beast just said rings true: it'll be just be like Ryan's convention speech: loved on the spot, torn to pieces by fact checkers over the following days.

I do think Obama was way underaggressive IMO.

Doesn't matter though. Tonight counts more- the fact checking won't reach nearly the audience that tonights debate did.

I would like to point out how much the University of Denver sucks. Overpriced, mediocre education, bastion of rich kids who couldn't hack it in the larger state schools, but could make up for it overblown tuition.

DU is fine. I had a cousin who went there, and she got a good education. Lower middle class.

This debate did absolutely nothing for Romney in the long term. All he did was refuse to give details about his non-existent plants to better the country, and flat out lie about everything else.

He's going to get eaten alive by the media, and within future debates, if this is his game plan for the long term.

I am an Obama supporter and a voter.

I think Romney won the debate.
I feel like Obama was rambling, speaking in broken sentences and seemed to be nervous.

Romney kept interrupting but he's an alpha.

an aplha? he seemed childish trying to perpetually get the last word when the moderator reigned him in, that's the opposite of what i saw there

this should be the logo for the next debate, seriously

...

GAF has DIABLOS syndrome.

i think of it as PhoenixDarkSyndrome myself, but that works too

The disastrous Bush years + Obama continuing some of them led to immense resurgence in the left and Occupy would just be the start. If Romney/Ryan came in, slashed infrastructure programs, started a war with Iran and overall be 10x worse than Bush administration forget about it. There would be revolutionary sentiment.

While the Occupy movement was significant, it is still only a small segment of the total population. The movement also petered out much faster than anticipated, and did not help to propel any supporters into political positions. Most Americans still believe in the general concept of capitalism.

I don't really see the hunger for "revolutionary sentiment" among the general populace, either. A lot of the protest movement that surged under Bush diminished once Obama got elected. A large chunk of that wasn't really about principle; it was more about getting a Republican out of office, and any resurge of protest under a hypothetical Romney administration would probably reflect this again.

You guys need to calm the fuck down. Jesus, relax.

Pretty much.

Still two more debates, and I think there's more than enough ammunition for Obama to make a rebound. However, he needs to bring more intensity. Some stutters is fine, it's part of his nature, but he needs to not seem so relaxed and feel passionate about what's he preaching.

In substance Obama had it, especially when impatient Bams spoke in a clear and straight-forward manner how Romney was bass ackwards. I want to see more of that.

In terms of pure emotional pleas, judgements and attacks Romney wins it for perception.

Cnn fact checkers find that obama's claim that romney will cut taxes by 5 billion to be true but false since he will close loopholes.
Lolll i hate CNN and its fake Fairness

Al Sharpton looks pissed. I didn't catch the debate, but as soon as I walked in the door my mom walked in and said Romney blew it out of the park. So, at least in my moms mind, Romney won the debate. I guess I'll watch MSNBC to get the recap

What I don't understand is why Obama absolutely used NONE of the obvious attacks?

Bain, 47%, hitting back on the 716b, the flip-flopping, etc etc... he kept literally almost every one of the big campaign narrative attacks in his quiver. Why? There were several opportunities where Mitt Romney literally opened himself to these attacks, and... nothing.

Obama has got to be being coached on attacking for the next debate.

Two more debates, Obama. Fuck looking like an angry black man and go all in. Tonight was bad, even if Romney was spewing bullshit and lies.
