Success.
Oh. My. God.
Success.
Really noob question here, I managed to get the Urbanix thing running and installed that Vita FTP thingy but I can't figure out how to transfer stuff, I don't really know what FTP is to be honest
If someone could point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful.
When you run the FTP program it tells you the IP address your vita is hosting on.
Download this free ftp client to transfer files over.
All you do is type the IP the program gives you into the ftp program's quick connect option in the address bar and hit connect. You can then access the directories on the vita and transfer the psp files.
You are awesome. Many thanks!
Doesn't this mean those who hacked their vita will never able to get online?
fuck yes
That's pretty luckySeems almost random what game they pick to be the exploit these days so I wouldn't feel bad at all either! Even MH by Capcom..
Yeah, I remember Gripshift and Lumines going for pretty pennies on ebay back in those days. Crazy stuff.Funnily enough, we never copped any blowback from Sony about it, and we realised if it wasn't our game it would have been somebody else's eventually so weren't too cut up about it.
Was kind of cool in a twisted way to see copies of the game going for US$90 on eBay though because the little supply that was on shelves at the time dried up pretty quick.
So... should I update my Vita? I want some of that OLED goodness!
Surprised how all PSP games are not directly compatible via PSN Store when this hack clearly shows that they are (or am I wrong?)
Do emulators that run on PSP CFW run faster/smoother on the Vita?
Faster then my PSP V1000. But the games are still locked to 333 afaik.
n64 is iffy. snes and genesis are great.
nooooooooo~!!!! I jus saw this thread...
I went on the PS3 and picked up Urbanix + Jewel Keeper bundle for $6,
and it only let me download Jewel Keeper...
now I'm out $6 ;_;
All in your head if you think it's faster, unless the homebrew take advantage of the larger ram pool found in later PSPs and you're comparing it to the v1000 (as far as I know, SNES and genesis emus don't as there is no reason to need more ram)
I have both Urbanix and the exploit but I think I will wait on PSX emulation. All I really want to do i play Wip3out SE on my VITA....

How do you install this PSP Filer thing?
Apparently PSP2 doesn't work.
Sony should just release a tool for copying PSP UMDs to Vita.
But yes, I know, I know. How will they make money? By selling Vitas.
We already bought their games, they already got our money. How does the publisher make money by selling Vitas? As far as i know, EA/Ubi/Activision etc get no money from a Vita sale.

Who would stop someone from sharing one UMD with 20 people and spreading free games?
Every UMD have an ID.
No they don't.
No they don't.
Maybe it wasn't something widely implemented out of Japan.
Yes they do, The umd used for umd passport program in japan can only be used one.
Unless this is not true outside japan , its this why UMD passport is not available outside japan?
Uhm... not sure, but probably I'll buy a 2nd PSVITA.
Works for me. US version

And people think this is a bad thing for Sony.
If there were some way to get Dolphin running on it I'd buy 5. But I know, I know.
