PlayStation Mobile Thread of Indie Games, and Apps on Android/Vita

It's based on developer turnaround, so you might get 6 games one week, and none the next.

It's worth mentioning that the developer program doesn't seem to be live yet. The official page is still promoting the open beta:
http://www.playstation.com/psm/developer/index_e.html

Everything on PSM now must be the result of other arrangements. If there are more games to come from said other arrangements, then you'll see those next, but if not, you're not going to see anything more until the developer program actually starts.

Positron, Cubixx, Panic!, Zoo Zoo Go!, Tipper are still to be released. So there is something hopefully next week

Lemmings as well.

I wonder how many PSP ports SCE will do for Mobile. A few years ago we heard about LBP running on an Xperia Play ...

Man would love it if they launched this in my store.
Btw how is 'updates' handled? In terms of new games releasing. Stuck to the PSN schedule?

He talks about Eufloria Adventures a lot in that interview. Some interesting stuff about the customizable ships, and possible dubstep soundtrack XD

V_Ben will be talking to him on Tuesday so we will have even more to talk about then.

Yup, Adventures sounds really amazing.

So i take it from that interview that Eufloria PSM isn't releasing outside of Japan? :( He specifically says "a Eufloria Japanese only port for PSM"

For now. It seems like it was entirely handled by Playism. He even asked me if I downloaded it, since he doesn't know how the final version turned out. He did say some great people were working on it though, so I assume it is a-ok.

Sucks, hope it comes out over here at some point. Seems like a good game to have on Vita.

Hmm, the ESRB still lists Daxter, flOw, and Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror as rated for PlayStation Certified Devices ...

Probably scrapped plans for xperia. I have Pinball Heroes on my tablet and they never technically released that on the android PSN store :lol

Well, they are porting PSP titles to Mobile though. Numblast, and Everybody's Arcade are built on the guts of PSP games. Lemmings also appears to be built from that too.

However, I don't know why they removed the stuff they already had on Android. PSone Classics wasn't a bad idea, they were just pitifully supported and poorly implemented (Android purchases were separate from PSN purchases) ... Maybe SCE will open up the Mobile PSN store to the regular PSone Classics in the future.

In case you guys were curious what my final SCB score was

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying, I don't see anything removed? The PlayStation Market (PSM) app that just launched is different from the PlayStation Pocket app that drove PlayStation Classic purchases. My Xperia Play has both, I'm still able to log and shop for Cool Boarders 2 and Jumping Flash (and not much else...) for $6 apiece. It is weird that the two shops aren't merged, (though PS Classics used Google Play for fulfillment; this uses PSN) and it's also curious that PSM doesn't have any PlayStation Classics (I'm not sure if other Xperia devices have the PS Pocket market?,) but nothing's been removed as far as I can tell.

On my Tablet S there no longer has access to them. The PlayStation Store app got replaced when the update got pushed for PSM. I still have access to any games I bought though via download list.

Currently, it is still free.
It will, in the future, cost $100 a year.

I thought $100 is only if you want to publish app on psm store. anyway, if the homebrew actually get around Sony cert by distributing their code instead and not their compiled file, I'd be totally okay with paying $100 a year just to have some emulator on my vita.

Oh, erm, maybe you're right!

There are 70 games/apps scheduled until Christmas pre the official SDK release. SCE has some lady (can't remember her name) who previously worked at GREE. She said that they want both big mobile games and the indie titles.

I never played Super Crate Box until now, but I decided to pick it up on PS Mobile after seeing all of the rave reviews it's been getting.

It's amazingly addictive! Weapons are a joy to discover and use. The game constantly beckons you to give it "just one more try" so that you can improve your score and unlock more goodies.

What kind of apps would you like to see?

- Competent Book Reader (able to syncronize to PC, Dropbox, etc).
- Competent movie streamer from PC.
- Read it Later
- Notes app, like Evernote, with calendar and syncronization with google calendar
- Messenger application
- WhatsApp
- Competent audio player, maybe even streaming ones.
- Alarm Clock
- Multipurpouse app (money converter, translator, random generator, compass, lantern, etc).
- eMail app, RSS reader, etc
- Steam app

Basically the same that I have in my iPhone.
