Anyone else playing Dungeon Story?

It's a pretty shameless ripoff of Dungeon Raid (which the dev acknowledges) but more persistent (you keep your char level and spend gold to upgrade weapons and spells) and like Puzzle Quest, you fight enemies 1v1

Any recommendations for good baseball games? I'm already playing Baseball Superstars 2012, Big Hit Baseball and Big Win Baseball.

So guys, I've just jumped aboard the iOS wagon with a 4s and a retina iPad.

What's the general opinion on Riven? I never played it on the PC back in the day but always thought it looked pretty cool...

What are some good iOS games featuring dinosaurs? The lady loves dinos and Jurassic Park Builder has hit that obscene F2P wall where progress now involves extraordinary time commitments or a wallet full of cash.

Not a lot of good games with dinos on iOS or any other platform.

There's Telltale's Jurassic Park games. It's kinda crappy but your lady might like it. Also, Carnivores. But that hasn't aged very well.

My dad is generously giving me his iphone 3gs which I know probably can't run some new games but most should be ok right? Any reccomendations?

I'm thinking Rayman Jungle Run as my first download.

Can't...stop...playing...Rebuild. The horde approaches!

And though Crazy Taxi sounds cool and all, I'm still waiting for the iOS version of Jet Set Radio.

That'd be a perfectly good place to start.

I've been out of the loop for a while, and I'm sure this has already been raved over, but the Microsoft published Tentacles game is very good.

Totally enjoying Zookeeper Battle, even if I get trounced most of the time. Figured beating 10,000,000 recently would have helped, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Still, a lot of fun, and I picked up DX for $1 which after some time with it I will probably just spend my time losing at Battle instead.

After you deplete all your CP and use all the potions they give you I assume you have to do an IAP to get more, or wait until you get more CP back?

Is the regular version of "The Oregon Trail" (the one last updated last year, by Gameloft) the one to get? Because it turns out that I've already bought it... or are people talking of "The Oregon Trail: Am..."?

Punch Quest, by developers RocketCat Games (Mage Gauntlet, Hook series) and Fargoal creator Madgarden, was submitted to Apple and should be out on the 25th. It's a sidescrolling beat'em up for those who don't know. Looks like it'll be pretty good.

Are there many games specifically built for iPad? Trying to think outside of TWENY and Bastion but nothing comes to mind

Wanting something to see what the iPad can do. Was hoping Back to the Future and Ghost Detective would be them but the aliasing on them is terrible :(

Incoboto is an excellent iPad exclusive.

Check out Gasketball. You can download and play some of it for free and if you like it it's $2.99 for the full game.

Maybe its herecy to post this here but seeing as this thread is very active, i was wondering if anyone know a site that reviews or posts info about non gaming apps. There are plenty of gaming related ios sites with good info, but i cant find any decent ones concerning normal apps.

Has anyone bought the World Pass for Scribblenauts? Does it add much content? Thinking about re-installing it.

What? Broken Sword The Smoking Mirror is just as amazing as the first one! If not better in some aspects!

When the Kickstarter for 5 went up I went and started the first game. I bought them on Steam a while back but never got round to it. Instantly fell in love with it and played it each day until I completed it. Started the second the day after yet just couldn't get into it. I've still yet to complete it to this day. I don't really know why I'm not feeling it. I'll finish it eventually though.

Back on topic, I got Zookeeper Battle the other day. Man that game is addictive and fun. Nice and simple idea but enjoyable. I keep going back to it.

Could it not just be the "too much of a good thing" problem? Starting a sequel right after beating the original usually ends with feels of apathy. You've just gone from emotional high climax back to square one again.

Possibly lol

But at the same time, each time I go back to it I just don't feel it. Not sure exactly what it is about it.

Maybe you're right...

Same for me...I really do not know why...technically is good as the previous one but...it just lacks the magic...or maybe it's just the setting...the first one had a compelling story I couldn't put it down...the second one...not so much.

Rebuild seems alright after having finished a game of it. It seems pretty simple, and I never really felt like I was making hard decisions, but it was fun in the way that any similar strategy game is fun. Slowly taking control of the map is satisfying, and equipping and appropriately training your people is fun. Wish there was a bit more depth to it but I'm glad I picked it up for a buck.

Try appstorm.com, they have separate iPhone and iPad blogs (as well as other devices). And redmondpie.com regularly reports notable apps on their site, but they also post a ton of tech news and rumors. Still, they helped me find the best alarm clock in the world.

I have a 3GS, and I believe Dungeon Raid should be a stock game on every iPhone. Definitely get that, and here's an example of what I have on my phone right now:

Tiny Wings
Wargames
Spell Tower
King of Dragon Pass
Dungeon Village
PathPix
The Quest Gold
Chrono Trigger

All these games run well on the 3GS.

Oh there's plenty of awesome iPad games, here's a sample:

The Room
Aquaria
Machinarium
Windosill
Osmos HD
Yesterday
SpaceChem
Wonderputt
Autumn Dynasty
LandGrabbers
Avadon
Cursed Treasure HD
Waking Mars
