The show is on every Saturday in Japan. Air time is 2 days and 15 hours from now.
12-13 episodes.
Where did you hear that? There's no way there would be a full episode list for something that just started airing.
i read here that they already have the blu-rays out for pre order? then by that logic should they have the episode list? I dont know how this works tho i just watch anime from time to time.
They generally put the discs up for pre-order with very little actual information. More information gets added as time goes by. They only have episode numbers, no titles.

Episode 2
Pretty good shit! They're moving really fast with the material, so it'll be interesting to see how they handle the action next week. This week was a mix of some good and not so good stuff. I love the way the rugby match was done, and there were some really great angles throughout the episode, and in the action scenes towards the end, but the actual action animation this week leaves much to be desired. It's not a huge deal though, since it's still pretty fabulous and they get the point across.
The OP on the other hand, is FANTASTIC. It's not produced by David Production, but rather Kamikaze Douga, a CG studio known for working on various DQ trailers, and the CG FMV for Breath of Fire V and the PSP release of the original Persona. They do a pretty great job of here mixing manga visuals and making them come to live in 3D. The song is fucking fabulous too. Great stuff.

Wow, from start to finish that was amazing. Even the CG in the OP couldn't bring it down. The opening with
was really cool, I hope they'll bring some of that style into the fights later on (and from the looks of it so far, I think they will). Unfortunately, once again there wasn't too much in the way of great animation, but the stills were great, the animation was good where it counted, and the men are more muscular and fabulous then ever. One thing that really stood out in this episode was the fantastic use of music. The soundtrack is really good, and its being used really well. David Production really seem to know what they're doing with JoJo.
The only bad thing was

They're apparently adapting 12 volumes in two cours, so I wouldn't expect them to keep that pace.
No they're not. The first episode is like 2/3 if vol1, the second episode was up to about maybe half of vol2, and the next episode should cover the rest of vol2. I expect Phantom Blood to be about 9-10 episodes in total.
Oh damn, so that's where I recognized him from.

Its been 8 years since i've read JoJo. Totally forgot how flamboyant everyone is. Lost it the first time when Dio enters swag stance filling the screen backdrop with rainbow colours and sound effects.

Opening was pretty cool, liked the cameos of the other JoJo's (well, I didn't see Johnny or Gappy, but it went by too fast so maybe I missed them) and the CG animations look interesting...wondering if they'll use those models in the JJBA All Stars game? The panels look like something we might see in Story Mode.
The bits of violence in this episode near the end were censored a bit, but still decently brutal...next week is where I remember the manga began to get pretty gory, so it'll be interesting to see what they can get away with on television...although, I think this airs 12 AM, so probably more than most Shonen adaptations can.
I loved the use of Roundabout leading up at the ending, AND they changed the ED animation too (well, the stills of the characters), and I imagine they'll probably switch them around every episode or so.

Okay, first of all, that OP is CRAZY! Such intense direction and facial expressions. But what was up with the parts 3-6 tease? Why show it if they have no intention of getting there? This shit better get greenlit for more, or these guys are just trolling.
As for the actual episode, my god this is still a fuckin amazing adaptation! Speedwagon also broing it up while everyone continues the exaggerated fabulousness. And there's some satisfaction to be had, as we find out Dio isn't some invincible villain
I do feel that the censorship will be a pain in the ass down the line. It looks like they aren't actually changing much, just blacking it out. That could give some incentive to buy the BDs, but it could also make some of the more brutal fights a black screen 90% of the time. Ah well, I guess we'll have to wait and see.
And yes, the transition to the ED was perfect.

I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed that was their intention ever since this started. However so far we only got word on 26 episodes. This most likely means they're going to do Jojo in segments which makes sense considering how long the series is. And there's always the chance of the series not getting enough money to end the production after these first 26 episodes.

Duwang is the nickname for a really, really bad translation of the a translation of Part 4 of the manga. The town of Moriō is translated at one point as Duwang, and it includes such gems as:
"When I was a kid, I saw Mona Lisa from my grammar school art book....The fist time I saw her, with her hands on her knee...how do I saw this...I had a boner..."
"I feel you! I feel you deeply! Your feeling I can feel deeply!"
The subs are, I assume, a 'homage'.

Loved the
scene and the fight, but wasn't too bothered about the rest. Some weird transitions here and there in their attempt to rush through this arc, and ultimately it felt like a slideshow of cool shit instead of the nice Dio vs Jojo momentum they had built in the first episode.
The opening animation was great, and even the song has started to grow on me. It just takes me back to the time when anime was something awesome and exotic and manly and great and not all this lolibait. Also, the soundtrack is fucking great, and the segue into the ending song got me all wet in my knickers.

The OP song isnt really good however the animation and style is, it gives a really good feeling to the anime and tops the openings that western comic based movies do. Dio looks great in it.
