The Giant Bomb Quick Look Thread 2

Can someone who saw the quicklook live spoiler time stamp the asassin's creed quicklook?

Skip the whole part outside the animus when Desmond has gone back to his base of operations and 51:00-53:24. The part after 53:24 might have spoilers in the banter that goes on between the characters, but I don't recall any.

Man, Desmond's face is looking gnarly in AC3. :/ I wonder if they're right and different teams did the stuff for the modern day and colonial settings.

Kinda disappointed from what I saw of that game to be honest. I'm really ready for next gen to give the series a kick in the pants.

With so many other games coming out I might wait on this one till it's cheaper before jumping on it.

Man, Ass3 looks like hot shit.

Games like this only come around once in a generation. Assassin’s Creed III is a beautiful, sprawling adventure that proves to be one of the most, if not the most, ambitious titles ever created. Just when you think you have it figured out, an entirely new element is introduced that enriches it further, rendering it one of the least repetitive experiences to be had with a controller. An inspiring testament to what can be accomplished with unbridled devotion, it’s possible that nothing of this magnitude will ever be attempted again. No matter if you’re a fan of the series, or even the genre, Assassin’s Creed III must be experienced; it’s a truly definitive event that will be looked-back as a crucial step in gaming evolution.

Nah man, it's the next crucial step in gaming evolution. The review with the ebay link selling AC3 stuff told me.

Hahahaha holy shit.

Watching a group of bystanders walking through the fight looks really janky.

As somebody who hasn't played an AC game since 2 I was thinking it seems like all the animation has got a lot worse.

I had to laugh when Ryan was sprinting away and he start running up a wall instead of going through a doorway. That kind of shit has been there since the first game.

A meme, it has been created.

When that bunch of guys walk through the middle of the fight, it's actually a sign of good AI believe it or not. I suspect that they accidentally left on the spawners for people going through the first set of gates, and when those gates close during the chase they have no other way around so their pathing takes them through the garden area. However they're not meant to be a complex AI, they just walk from A to B, hence why they don't react.

Have the guys decided not to QL HD Remasters anymore? No Okami one, I don't think there was a Stranger's Wrath one, and the last big retail package, the DMC one, also didn't get a QL.

I'm sure there was a Stranger's Wrath QL. I distinctly remember watching something with Brad playing it. Also didn't DMC HD (which I shamefully still haven't picked up) come out soon after the whole CBSi thing went down? They did the R&C Collection recently as well.

Stranger's Wrath happened a while ago, yah.

I think the problem with Okami is that it takes like 2 hours before you can even start playing the game. Unless they updated it so that you can skip text now. :p

Oh, my mistake, and I forgot about the R&C one, good point.

They did Stranger's Wrath.

I would have really liked to have seen a DMC HD quick look, though.
I would rather they spent 30 minutes + whatever setup time it takes to get to a suitable spot on new games.
