I was able to grab it for $25 thanks to a buddy that works at Best Buy. Not too far in but what I've played has been enjoyable.

No, it's not. Odd that a game called "Smart as..." is so stupidly over-priced. Betting this is one of the first discounted/free items when PS+ hits Vita.

RO seems quite online heavy so I think you sould play it besides another game.
Funnily enough I was thinking exactly the same.
Not that I know of, it is just that the Hori brand are setup with tabs to make the installation easy. I am talking about not just the screen but the front of the whole device.

I went out to see if I'd pick up Most Wanted and Liberation, half expecting to end up returning with both, but I turned out to come back with neither ... They finally have 32GB cards and I thought, what with near and multiplayer stuff, I'd hate to have to switch carts at any point, and have long thought that with 32GB, I should have enough for a while for at least the games. And every bigger sized memory card is also a bit faster, I hear, so going all-digital will mean that in two years time, games will run with no load-times whatsoever. 
So now I've begun the horrible process of backing up my current full 16GB cart to my PC. Then I'll copy back what I need in ... smaller doses. And then I'll get NFS Most Wanted digitally.
It's not great that game saves are combined with the game for Vita games for now (not for other types of games), and I hope that will change someday, because otherwise I'd just have copied the game saves over, and then download the games as I need them when I need them (that is usually fast enough, straight from the store to Vita).
I'll have to think about a strategic use of my 16GB cart after this. Either I'll use it for a specific group of games that I don't need immediate access to, or (more likely) I'll put some video content on those, that I can use when I need some for me, my wife or my son when we're on the road. This happens much less frequently and so swapping a cart for that would be less of a hassle (not that it's that much work, but the cart is just so tiny, I'd probably lose it ...)
Oh, and the Vita in-store section looks very healthy. Clearly getting ready for the holiday period. Prices of Vita units also start at 199 euro now, with 4GB and MotorStorm RC bundles at 229,-, and big retail game cart + 4GB cart plus WiFi model for 249,-, and it's got a healthy bit of shelf-space for quite a high level of quality of games now too (and tonnes of accessories of course). I expect it may do decently this holiday, and could be in very healthy shape by next holiday ...
Regarding Smart As: it's got very polished presentation. Actually I was surprised to see it's an Unreal Engine game, as it looks a bit like Mirror's Edge at times in presentation.
I personally like it a lot, and you can see a lot of work went into it, especially all the different competitive/leaderboard stuff is quite impressively extensive. But I think a little less expensive wouldn't hurt the game, despite it's decent (not brilliant) use of John Cleese voice overs. It has very cool looking graphs, too.
Definitely like it a lot though so far, and expect to be playing it daily for a long time.

It's just come out today. They're not going to give it away free in the same month.
It'll be at least probably 6 months before they make it free, if not more.
I'd like to know this as well. Also how many players can you have online at once?

Wow thanks I'll definitively bite at that price, free shipping too. Although the fact that it was so dramatically dropped makes it suspicious. Maybe it'll be the first PS+ free game?
For online I think its 4? I have played with 2 other friends at one time and haven't done a public game. The Autolog/leaderboard stuff is really good, constantly stuff to compete for if you have a few friends playing. Online besides the player count is exactly the same as console I think as far as content.
My new White Vita screen is perfect,when watching Netflix or playing AC L,everything looks good but there is something bothering me with the screen...if it turns to black or grey during loading or a pause watching a TV show on Netflix,I have some smudges or darker area's on the screen,almost like a burn in effect or something on different area's of the screen...is that an OLED thing or what?...is this normal?

is it not possible for devs to implement in-game custom soundtracks in vita like they can for ps3? i love how - in games like ssx, hot pursuit, and wipeout hd - you can select a ps3 music playlist in-game and it will know to start new songs when you play new levels/races or enter the menus. it's like your custom soundtrack is a part of the actual game.
is this sort of functionality not possibe with vita? i know you can mute music in-game and play music from the menu, but it's not the same when it just plays over top of everything.

So any idea when the $20 for spending $100 gets put back into my (virtual) wallet?
Ended up buying LKS instead of a new game this week to cross the $100 barrier with the logic that NFS:MW and/or AC:L will probably get discounted between now and black friday and well PSN sales like never happen.

My Hori has been good for a while too.
To anyone with NFS MW on vita - do you find traffic cars popping up a lot infront of you suddenly (less then optimal draw distance) and causing too many crashes?
Yeah..having to put a hold on some of my planned purchases too, feel so bad ! Still, enough to play at leastStill wish I had JSR though..
I have crashed with invisible traffic cars and invisible police cars have taken me down once or twice, also they set roadblocks with only stop signs and no police cars between them, I wonder if that last one is normal or not.

The last one I think that is normal. But I never found invisible cars, or never traffic popping up (I'm always able to see their lights from a very high distance).

Does anybody else find their sleeping Vita sometimes flashing the PS button blue every couple of minutes without any apparent reason? The system manual says that this is what's supposed to happen when there is a notification of some sort (e.g., Near). Also happens to me without any notification at all ...

The game was unwrapped, the card taken out of the case, and sent out for renting. When you buy it, you get the case and manual and barring any postal issues, it is as new as when they took the shrink wrap off. Hell 360 game cases will still have the Xbox sticker on the side, just sliced.
