I don't really have a dog in this political fight, but the butthurt tears on GAF and elsewhere would be glorious if Obama loses. And looking at some of the polls and how he's handled Hurricane Sandy and the Libya situation it's looking like a real possibility right now.

Hurricane Sandy? What the hell? He has gotten praise from everyone on that, even republicans.

What do you mean how he's handled hurricane sandy?

He's been out campaigning, while Staten Island and New Jersey are in shambles. Gas lines, no electricity, riots etc. in one of the most populated areas in the world, and he's out campaigning.

Can you imagine if Bush did such a thing?

Obama has hugely positive polling on Sandy and no one cares about Libya so I have no idea why you'd say that. The only reason Obama could lose is the economy, same as it's always been.

Libya is a HUGE deal politically. Right now only Fox is covering it for obvious reasons, but once the hearings go down after the election facts will start coming out on how badly Obama and his administration handled the situation.

Heads will roll.

He went out there first thing and stopped campaigning for days.

What do you expect him to be down there every single day? What would that do?

He watches Fox News. That's all you need to know.

If people didn't give a shit about how poorly the previous president handled pre 9/11 intelligence then I doubt they will care about how the current one handled pre-Libya intelligence.

Yes, he should be down there every single day or at least flying in the disaster zone every day.

The Feds had 5 days or so to get ready for Hurricane Sandy and FEMA has utterly failed up to this point.

Sorry but with a disaster like this you should not be campaigning. Not a good look no matter how you look at it. The lefts hypocrisy on this forum and elsewhere is just astounding.

President's Clinton and Bush and everyone else handled pre-9/11 intelligence horribly. Everyone was at fault there.

Someone, somewhere in the Obama administration denied, or failed to give backup to a U.S. ambassador and citizens under attack. And so far its looking like it was someone high up in the chain of command.

At best Iran-Contra 2.0, at worst Watergate 2.0.

I browse through all news channels equally, and watch Daily Show almost any chance I get.

I'm just calling out the hypocrisy of the left and how Obama has handled Hurricane Sandy.

I honestly had no idea that this was a talking point on the right, since all reports from the republicans involved have stated that Obama's handling of Sandy has been exemplary. Is Fox News seriously spinning it as something else? Are they actively debating Christie and Bloomberg and the others in the region?

Hurricane Sandy criticism is just hilarious.

What leg do you have to stand on when the Republican governor of NJ, who has done nothing but bash Obama for months, is praising him for his handling.

Oh wait, he's a RINO now.

LOL, "exemplary".

He's been campaigning the last three days, while gas lines, riots, hunger etc. has been going on in the most populated region in the country.

Chris Christie is a smart man. He's getting himself ready for 2016 should Obama win.

And Romney hasn't?

The Republican Mayor and NJ Governor have both commended Obama's efforts and leadership while Romney created a fake food drive and paid Gulianni to give speeches politicizing the tragedy.

No I don't

Their is no hypocrisy concerning hurricane sandy your reaching and its sad. Its this kind of stuff that makes some republicans seem crazy trying to make a controversy out of situations where their is none. You don't always have to toe the company line its ok to admit when a democrat does ok it won't kill.

I'm just saying it doesn't look good at all. Huge disaster in the most populated region in the country and our President is out campaigning. It's not a good look no matter how you slice it.

And Romney hasn't?

Romney isn't the elected President of the United States or an elected official right now. He can campaign if he wants. It wouldn't be a good look for him either, if Obama was actually in the region taking the leadership role.

If Obama has spent the last five days in NJ handing out blankets and cleaning debris I imagine you'd just accuse him of politicizing the event. Let's be honest here, your issue isn't with Libya or Sandy, it is with a democrat in the White House.

FEMA and US Military is helping the area. It's not gonna repair itself overnight, man. C'mon. So just having the POTUS physically at Staten Island will help you feel better? I don't get your points. You do understand there is a chain of command?

Taking a leadership role doesn't mean you need to be physically there, but to also empower those with the resources to help, in this case FEMA and the US Military.

I'm glad Grandpa porked a Chinese Muslim
So he should have been in the disaster areas the whole time tying up resources such as police and other security that could otherwise be devoted to disaster relief and causing massive traffic congestion wherever he goes with the requisite motorcade? Sounds good.

Obviously Obama has the knowledge and skills to rebuild houses and repair gas lines, guys. He should really be there doing those things.

Seriously though. He's been there for 4-5 days already, stopped campaigning for that time as he should have, and is getting praised for how effectively they've handled it. You want him there going, "Yup, that looks damaged." to the whole state? What a joke.

He's done good with the hurricane relief. He took time out of his campaign and did his job. He made sure everything was going well with the recovery and is probably still monitoring the situation. This is not some partisan thing both republicans and democrats have praised him.

Your making something out of nothing trying to turn it into something its not. Its almost as bad as that birther non sense.

That's why I don't understand this line...Sandy hit on the 29th...Obama had services mobilized before that, and from the 30th to the 2nd Obama really didn't campaign at all, instead he was in the devastated areas, offering whatever services that the governors and representatives were requesting.

Granted, this past weekend, he's back campaigning, but it's not like FEMA or the DoE stopped working. Hell, in less than a week, power was returned to 75%...

Yeah, there are absolutely things to nail Obama on, but I'm REALLY not understanding the criticism here.

When you say Math and statistics, do you mean Nate Silver?

I refer to most of the polling aggregators including republican leaning ones.

And many many others. Is Obama victory assured? No. But anybody who tries to say Romneyis winning or it is a tie in the electoral college doesn't know what they are talking about.

Or they understand statistics. If you get further than the top line it is very possible that the statistics are biased against Romney. (Not in the silly political context)

Yes, every polling outlet in the United States has a bias sample. That is more likely than Obama is winning....

I love how Nate Silver's name has become demonized...absolutely absurd. The guy's numbers and findings have NEVER shown any political bias, but since they're not what one party wants to hear, that party smears the messenger.

Whenever you start saying "the polls are wrong" or "the polls are biased" you know that's when your guy is losing.

Remember folks:
the death of 4 Americans on Obama's watch = criminal
George Bush lying to get us in a war costing trillions and killing hundreds of thousands = fine and dandy.
