Wrong, Bloomberg isn't running again and he certainly didn't have to formally endorse Obama. Christie could have maintained a working relationship without singing Obama's praises for three days straight on every major network.

I'm sure the idea that these politicians (who never historically liked Obama at all) fall within the 78% of Americans who think Obama is doing a good job with Sandy might be difficult to accept when you draw your information exclusively from the teat of Rupert Murdoch.

Bloomberg may not run again and still cares about his reputation. He doesn't want to be seen as a guy who fucked up during Hurricane Sandy. Either Bloomberg or Christie ignoring Obama would've been a huge political blunder, moreso for Christie.
