I'm curious, is anyone here buying Call of Duty Vita? I was really interested until I saw that laundry list of ways they phoned it in. I'd like to know if anyone is planning on getting it regardless and how they feel about it.

I am. I'm a basic features guy. Let me shoot people, that's all.

There's a good chance I'll be grabbing it at some point. I'm not a huge CoD player (read: none at all), so I'd be buying it for an FPS on Vita rather than a CoD on Vita. We shall see..

I'm getting it. I've been playing my Vita tons more than my 360 lately, so the choice was a no brainer for me.

Yep, as long as it isn't as bad as we originally expected. But probably not at full price...not convinced there is enough content/it is worth full price yet. They really need a new trailer.

Probably will NOT buy it.

Mainly because I'm all digital on Vita, and PSN will probably NEVER lower the COD price to anything reasonable. I will NEVER pay more than $39.99 for a Vita game, and I feel like a complete idiot paying that much already. Damn all digital is addicting though.

At this point I've spent my October $100 quota on SFxT, ACL and NFSMW to get my free $20. I probably won't buy any big games for a while now. I also do a lot of iOS gaming, which is generally free or cheaper than a can of soda, and keeps me happy when I'm not in the mood for Vita games.

I've been supporting pretty much every major title on the Vita... but I have an outstanding boycott against all things Activision that takes priority here.
I still feel dirty about dropping it after 5+ years to take a chance on Diablo III.

Lumines arrived in the post yesterday. Played it for a few minutes last night - couple hours later.. Haha. Such an addictive little game! Love it.

Yep, getting it day one along the PS3-Black Ops II.
It seems to be just what I want: a fast, quick, short game, to play in quick bursts, kill a few enemies, jump online...die a ton. :p

I just don't get the mindset of suffering through grinding for the sake of a trophy. I find that quite ridiculous to be honest. I've got better things to do with my time.
A philosophy I can get behind. Even in Rayman, also the one vita game I p*d, it was a waste of time replaying those levels to find all the relics. Worthless busywork, and for what? That mural was thoroughly underwhelming.

Advertising seems to be picking up a bit for the Vita. Saw the Liberstion subway ad today on TV and went to GameStop to preorder Call of Duty. The kiosk was updated with different wallpapers and new demos for games like Guacamelee and Madden 13.

^ Yeah understandable - besides, it's not like you can pause the super long lumines games and fire up a different game and then go back to it. If it had that feature it would be very useful digitally...as opposed to just pretty cool to have ready to fire up.

Also Zeer0id, I know what you mean...I can still find those things fun but usually not when I'm in the trophy hunter frame-of-mind so I tend to just leave the ones I'm not in the mood for till much later, when I would want to re-play those sections anyway.
I tend not to resell games so I usually don't have to worry about completing them too quickly before the resell value drops though - (I think I remember you mentioned you sell off a lot of the games).

Check out this PSABR advert..

that is fucking great... lol

That's what I'm talking about Sony, more clips of gaming around the house:

That PSASBR commercial was hilarious. And I liked that it mentioned how if you buy the PS3 version you get the Vita version free.

Yeah much better then that freak in the youtube vita advert...not sure what the hell they're doing with that one! These are quite decent any funny.. although:

What the hell! Sony has cameras in my bathroom??!! I don't usually wear the tiara, that was a special day.

Yeah...they went out of their way to put you off in that scene! Still funny, but quite scary hah. His facial expression is awesome too. Looks like a bigger Randy from trailerparkboys (brilliant comedy/mockumentary):

I'm buying it no matter what to have Nuketown in my pocket!

Apart from hurling crap back and forth at vikings is there gameplay depth to be found?
Snowball fights with foreign objects seems like it would get old after a while.

My concern as well. Dont quite get what people like about it. In depth impressions anyone?

Dunno about stats, but it definitely last a lot longer than when playing Vita games. I think I get about an extra 2-3 hours give or take

Even Vita games differ greatly. I can pay VLR 1-2 hours longer on battery than Assassins Creed:Liberation.
