Vita PSN Game And Service Thread

Hi Vita owners!

I'm thinking about getting a Vita, but I'd like to wait until Black Friday if possible. My question is, does anyone know how limited the AC bundle is? Is it truly limited or is it Halo 3 Legendary Edition limited? I'd like to jump on that, but if there is a sale on regular Vitas, I might take whatever is cheaper. (Main reason being that I don't think the Persona 4 skin will look very good on white. If anyone can somehow refute this, that'd be awesome too.)

I suspect it's limited in that sense that it will be replaced by another bundle in the future.

Just want to say how fantastic SFxT looks and plays on the Vita!

I still can't deal with the 6 button layout not being readily available... trying to adjust to putting some buttons on touch screen, but not sure what layout I like for frantic fighting action.

I also can't figure out where the hell the touch points for 5/6 on the rear touchpad are. :\

Aren't those usually done by triggers ? Hmm reminds me i need to look how much blazblue for Vita costs.

I saw two bad reviews and the rest are mediocre... Ad yes I know it's not a vita game but they said previously that they might look into it after they have finished the console version - obviously they won't bother if it isn't well recieved!

Retail is 24.99 (digital) for Blazblue.

And yes, the triggers are default to FP/FK.
However, there are also 4 quick touch spots on the right of the touch screen and 2 *SOMEWHERE* on the rear touchpad. The idea that I could possibly do LP and LK on the touch screen and use the face buttons for MP,MK,FP,FK is good... but I haven't gotten used to it.

I still want to know where the rear touchpad contact points for 5/6 are, as they seem to pop up mysteriously when I rest my vita on my knee, but I can't pinpoint them with my fingers. :(

Honestly, I didn't think the game was that great when I played it, but I do not profess to be a fan of kart racers. I used to be, but I've gotten burned out in the last few years.

In the OT there's only 1 review posted that's lower than 80% ...

I don't want to ever have to play another Uncharted without touch climbing.

I can live without the touch climbing, though the OPTION is great. For me I need all shooters from hence forth to offer gyro aiming as an option. That was a godsend for me.

Isn't ps+ coming to Vita today. Really haven't seem anything about it.

The EU Blog is posting news this week.

One more gemstone to get in Uncharted for my plat! I'm going to be so damned happy when I get that sucker.

EDIT:

Finally got around to making a dedicated PS1 Games background from magicalTrevors Nature pack.

Thanks! I guess I'll just get whichever is cheaper then.

Last question: Are there any accessories you guys recommend? I'd like to buy a carrying case, and if needed, a stylus. Anything else?

If this is the wrong thread, please redirect me! This is the closest I could find to a Vita OT
Thanks!

I'm going to agree with Paul and say we need an idea of what genre you dig. There are LOADS of amazing games available, we just need to know what direction to steer you. :)

I like racing, RPGs and action games. I am thinking about little big planet as a start.

I'm getting used to it...using the touch screen does make things a bit easier, at least for me. I agree about the rear touch. I gave up trying to use that after awhile.

LBP is a great game and the second best of the series.

Racing: NFS:MW and Wipeout 2048
RPG: You'd have to use PSP/PSone catalogue. Disgaea3, RO and P4G are the only ones and none are the "traditional" RPG experience
Action: U:GA and Unit 13 are both amazing games

I'd highly recommend you take a look at Gravity Rush and Hot Shots Golf. They might surprise you.

Man hot shots golf is so good...

In fact I'm gunna put it back on my card

All of BomberMouse's info is solid.

I would second Hot Shots as it is fantastic. If you dig the Katamari games, I'd grab it. You can find that on the cheap (and I don't care what anyone says, pocket Katamari is bliss).

Keep an eye out for B2G1 deals. Very easy way to grow your library (and spend money...)

See, that option didn't do anything for me ... but being able to do a quick swipe on the screen and not having to tilt the analog and hold it while mashing x? So much nicer; I prefer it greatly... it will make playing a console game with that sort of environment traversal in the future more of a chore for sure.

Re: SFXT rear touch areas... you swipe down a little, not touch/tap like the front. It's about a 50/50 split.

Thank you, I will try this.

Whats so grindy about the UC plat?

Getting the bounties. Just have to keep playing over and over until you get the rare few you need by the end of your Crushing run.

I should note this is only the second game I have ever platinumed. The other was Motorstorm RC lol.

Just filled in the Amazon trade in form. Another £14 to add to my pile.

You need to get Resistance, easy third platinum.

Thanks. I am going to get those and hot shot golf.

If anyone missed booting up Escape Plan on halloween, this is how the title screen looked like:

The pumpkins, ghost and spiderwebs are usually not there.

Forget that. Get Virtue's Last Reward instead. It has an easy platinum plus the game is actually good.

Can vouch for this. VLR is my first platinum ever. On PS3 or Vita. It is both good game, and getting the Platinum involves unlocking all the story, and no silly extras that you need to grind or find by accident. It's a fairly straightforward one and I got it through one "playthrough" of the game's entire plot.

I haven't got my console yet, but already picked up Hot Shots Golf for £7 and Resistance on order.

A bonus for myself is that I have never had a Sony console, so I also have the PSone and PSP back library as well. Life is good :)
