I'm a traitor to the Vita brotherhood, got the PS3 version of NFS. :/

Any vitabros or Vitamuffins playing NFS currently? I've only got one friend with the game and feel like I should lose races to more people.\

Quite a big difference graphics-wise between Vita and PS3 versions, but the game runs just as well as it's just as great.

More than okay .. it's a technical marvel

from what I hear, it's about as good as one could have expected. Not *quite* at the level of the console versions, but close enough that it doesn't really detract from the experience

Have the PSN version but heard the disc release has sometimes streaming problems if you go fast enough with them nitrous.

not really.

It doesn't save any of the cars you've found, any of the races you've won or any of the mods you've earned/upgraded, or any of the gates/speed cameras/billboards you found.

But because it syncs speed points, it does unlock the Most Wanted races (but not the results of any MW races). so eg if on PS3 you have enough SP to unlock the first most wanted race, and then you race and beat the car - on the Vita that race will be unlocked for you to compete in, but you'll still have to race and win.

It saves speed camera speeds and billboard distances via autolog, but I don't think it saves how many of each you've discovered. Not sure what happens eg if you go through a speed camera on the PS3 at 100mph, then go through the same speed camera for the first time at 90mph on vita - does it still record your fastest time as 100mph, and just update the discovered count?
Oh well, I was planning on picking up the PS3 version during Black Friday. I suppose the game is still worth the $30 even if only speed points are shared.

I think I'd buy any multiplatform game on Vita. Games are cheaper, the screen is amazing, love to have the console in my hand.

NFS is probably no exception, will wait a bit for a digital sale though.

I agree, although on Sony's Cross Buy titles, I will buy the PS3 version. Only twenty bucks more and I would like the option to play on either. Especially with games like Sly 4 that I really want on both.

Gosh I love Cross Buy.

PSM continue to be useless garbage I see.

well PC is my 1# place to go but didn't get it for it since it require Origin(and I refuse to use that crap). Vita version is very so freaking great, and playing at work and is so good too. I still prefer Burnout Paradise for many reasons over MW tho.

however I feel like shit ignoring all friend requests after playing online, I know getting friends on Vita is hard now but since most of them are Americans I ignore them because I don't want someone to annoy me in the morning (Time zone difference), so I end feeling like an ass and people hate me :(

on side note, Namco should port RR7 to Vita (it wont cost much to port from PS3 and I know I'll buy the shit out of it).

Thinking of picking up When Viking's Attack, almost purely because it's on sale for plus. Still, I have WAY too many games to play and I just finally got RO. I still haven't beaten NLKS either @_@ I really wish I could just use my microSD from my phone, because it's 32 gb. I really want to upgrade to 32gb but I can't afford it ATM.

Nothing wrong with that. At least I never take it personally if that happens.

Is NFS Vita technically okay?

Absolutely. In fact, it's damned impressive for a handheld racer: it's the entire console experience, minus a few minor graphical features and slightly less traffic (which actually benefits the gameplay), but in portable form. Same situation as, say, AC Liberation or Uncharted GA. It supports custom soundtracks, so you can get rid of the dreadful EA Trax music. Also, I love how the autolog stuff reaches across all platforms.

My only complaint is that some of the UI text is tough to read b/c Criterion didn't scale its size up enough to better fit a handheld's screen.

Compared to its console brethren, it's a slightly less stellar package; but to compared to every other racing game ever made on a handheld device, NFSMW on the Vita kicks them all to the curb.

My comment on that site that sourced Anandtech that didn't even HAVE any Vita benchmarks:

"The word Vita was not used once in the article you sourced. What are you referring to? The 543MP4? Vita uses a modified version of that, not the same one. Then you have to account for Vita's 128MB DEDICATED VRAM. iPad 4 has none. Then there's the low-level APIs, less OS overhead, Vita needing to push only a quarter of the pixels, etc. This is an attention-grabbing headline that has no substance. The iPad 4 is amazing, and it's got some of the greatest power in mobile today, but it's still not even close to the Vita in graphics power."

GPU alone does not make it more powerful than the Vita.

That's an excellently written comment. Bravo, sir.

Awesome retort!

What is the general consensus on the Trigger Grips from PDP? It's going to be a long winter (already snowing here in Connecticut), and with Call of Duty next week, I felt it'd be a good time to pick these up. Are they worth the $15? I've already decided on these over the Hori ones, by the way.

Way to layeth the smack down! Flawless victory, although someone responded and asked if you were on crack :)

I have and love HORI but I do wish there were separate trigger caps for the Vita!
