According to Twitter Jeff got the cable installed earlier today. He said he downloaded Black Ops 2 in like 20 minutes lol.

Which is funny, because pretty much every Black Ops 2 review was done at an Activision event. I assume Jeff went to that, since his save in that Quick Look has almost no progression.
Why is this funny? Because you think it makes him a liar or a hypocrite?
If it's the only way to get access to the game prior release, stupid or not they will go, that's just normal. It doesn't make the whole thing less stupid.
The people that are enjoying the game despite it being overpriced are mostly playing the multiplayer.
After their XCOM and AC3 reviews I thought they didn't care about early access.
Nice. It'll likely mean more cool premium content for subscribers.

He's clearly making up game modes then. I shouldn't be surprised, looking smart and hip on Twitter is more important than actually playing and having a basic understanding of a game for review. He even got an RT from his buddy Jeff!

oh activision.
I know what game modes are offered in the game, one of the few pieces of information released by Activision about this game. It's not that hard.

I think I'd rather take the word of someone who has played through it than someone who is refusing to buy the game because they're not interested in it. You're just as guilty of spreading false information as the person Jeff retweeted, if his information is in fact false

I don't even care about that 5 minute mode. 1 hour of total gameplay is pretty terrible. I didn't even care about the second part of the tweet.

cod vita is a very decent portable fps,its no a must buy or a system seller,but is not a disaster or a bad game

I agree but the problem is, I think, that Sony put all his bets in Cod for fall 2012. This is pretty much THE big game of the season for the Vita. Sure P4 is kinda big but it's nothing compared to a COD game.

Right, okay, so away from this CoD Vita stuff for a moment. I'm not very net literate so what does Jeff mean by Google DNS making the site slow? And how would one go about fixing it?
The site hasn't been great for me for the last few days, but it's still been useable, to the extent that I managed to watch the CoD Bo2 QL without any hassle, but when I try to watch the DBZ HD QL it takes absolutely ages to load maybe 10 minutes and then just stops making progress as though it has timed out. I tried direct downloading but the HD version just hung after downloading a few percent, I even tried the high quality to see if the smaller file size would make a difference but it still ended up hanging after a small percent was done.
Would what Jeffs saying it the problem account for such a major performance loss in just a few hours?

DNS = Domain Name Servers. Basically the servers that handle converting IP addresses (1.323.158.12 for instance) into names (giantbomb.com/whatever) is wigging out? Not much GB can do from their end, nor you from yours? I'm not sure, I only know how it pertains to small sites.
I honestly don't understand how DNS servers would mess up video performance. You click on your video and it would do a DNS lookup to know what IP to go to. If that is slow, it would take longer to even start the video. However, once it starts, it's not like it's going to keep doing DNS queries the whole time (or ever again for that video, for that matter). Therefore it should not affect streaming performance.
