Without any research - and I'm sure anyone laughing did that - I cannot prove the person wasn't intoxicated/drunk/high. I don't know anything about his age or personal background - maybe he got repeatedly beaten up by some black kid in school ? I don't know if he comes from a racist household or if this is simply something written during an outrage. I don't know if it's a fake profile someone put up in that guy's name to give him a bad name or if his account got hacked/someone knew his password.
In other words I know jack shit about that person.
Does he sound like a fucking idiot ? Yes.
Does he sound like a fucking racist ? Absolutely.
Does he deserved to be put on the pillory ? No.
If you cannot understand the problems with and (potential) consequences of this I feel sorry for you. I'm also sure no one will ever take any responsibility should anything bad come from this, because obviously if you do or say anything stupid, anything bad that comes from it is completely your own fault.
Feel free.Only highlighting racism from what seems to be republicans? What about everybody else?
People have a freedom of speech. Yes, they might use that freedom for awful things, but it's still their right. We shouldn't be attacking people for exercising their right to free speech. Just ignore it, and if they have no audience to speak to, they'll shut up.
Several of these people have already deleted their tweets or twitter accounts, so outside of a screenshot, there's really no verifiable proof that some of these comments were made, and a twitter screenshot can be doctored pretty easily.
Lets say one of their friends got 80s TMNT van mint in box from a black friend.Without any research - and I'm sure anyone laughing did that - I cannot prove the person wasn't intoxicated/drunk/high. Let's take an extreme example, let's assume the person got repeatedly (physically/mentally/sexually) abused by his mother's black friend since he was eight years old. That's no excuse to be racist, but it could certainly scar someone for life. That said this is a physical threat and should be treated as such.
This is pretty funny... but at the same time, an anonymous person on tumblr is the judge, jury and executioner. Several of these people have already deleted their tweets or twitter accounts, so outside of a screenshot, there's really no verifiable proof that some of these comments were made, and a twitter screenshot can be doctored pretty easily.
You don't really need to doctor a twitter screenshot to make a racist comment when so many legitimate ones can be found with much less effort.
Yeah, I'm sure the tumblr guy has some personal vendetta against all these idiots.
If black people got mad at every instance of racism they see, we wouldn't have time to do anything else. We have learned to let a lot of shit slide.
i do talk shit about black people sometimes. how racist am i?
Feel free.
Noticing alot of people from Ohio, Pennsylvania, and other Northern States.
Odd that I'm not seeing Alabama. Really odd.
As of right now I don't have a problem with this, kids and all. This stuff will all be buried for a few years and it can change the outlooks of these kids and get them to learn why theyre messed up while theyre young.

Uh, what? Please explain.
This was all funny last week, and I gladly joined in myself, but it's starting to get old. Not trying to shame anyone still drinking up the salty, salty tears. Just saying it's lost its appeal for me, personally.GAF doesn't care about changing outlooks, they want them to be exiled forever. People posting here have a certain glee about them, revelling in the schadenfreude more than anything else.
Sad thing is, some of the twitter accounts that are still active, the user stands behind what they said. Like they are proud to be racists, and are just expressing how they feel.
I'm not against pointing out racists. I just worry about retaliation. What if someone gets beaten/killed as a result of posting the personal info. Also, most of these people look like kids.

All I can really do is laugh when I saw some of those twitter accounts say "haters make me famous" or something equally stupid, and then they mention "but I'm not a racist."
Boggles my fucking mind.

Somehow you're less "innocent" if you've had sex?

But for how long.
Rhetorical question. You're not really telling me that you have no problem publicly mocking (or even bullying) people that you know nothing about, right ? Because that sounds pretty wrong.
First you ask me about what context there could potentially be to put these comments in a different light, then you tell me that context doesn't matter ? Okay...
This feels a bit like a mob. I will have no part in this and it's obvious people are unwilling to even take a step back and think about the situation, so there's also no use in discussion. Oh well, have your fun.
No, you're just not a kid and can't be treated as one.
These kids need education, not shaming.
What if you're 12?
You know what? That's besides the point. When you're a teenager, you say and do stupid things. You have yet to live long enough to fully appreciate that little actions can have big consequences. I'm not so jaded in that respect that I forget my own smug, elitist, Objectivist self when I was 16.

Sadly, they probably are already getting education about this subject from their parents or others.
Anecdotally, I would have been sent to the principal's office and told exactly why what I said was wrong, as opposed to having the entire classroom point and laugh at me without any constructive measures being taken. This blog seems to be analogous to the latter scenario. Are they not saying this in public? When we were young, would we not have been shamed for displaying these attitudes in, say, a classroom?

I actually don't feel much towards them. I got used to the idea of the world being filled with racists a long time ago, but I like being able to put faces to it.
What really aggravates me are people trying to tell me that I should feel bad for people who are calling me a nigger, and that I should condemn the act of calling people out for calling me a nigger.
I wonder what a black gaffer would feel when going through that tumblr page.
Anyone having violent fantasies against these individuals yet?

Why?
The (re) election of President Barack Obama is not, nor should ever be considered an end to racism, even though the majority of people in the United States elected the nations first mixed/black president - and they did not do so based solely on the color of his skin (Side question: what percentage of white Americans voted for Americas first white president? Answer: Exactly 100.00%)
But boy oh boy, has it brought the racists out from the shadows. The sheets and hoods are (mostly) gone, but the ignorant and hateful attitudes of many remain.
There is nothing wrong with disliking President Obama. Disagree with him on policies, dislike his politics. But the unbelievable amount of hatred simply because of the color of his skin and multifaceted background is quite simply, despicable. And totally Un-American. The slurs and calls for violence are wholly uncalled for.
This behavior (probably learned from their parents and relatives) should never be condoned. Teach your kids kindness, tolerance, and nonviolence, and that we are held accountable for the individuals we are - not the names or labels or colors of our skin. You may disagree with someones ideas - and thats ok - but that is no excuse for slurs and hate. It is categorically wrong. There is no humor to be found in these cruel statements. There is nothing to joke about.
ALL information gathered here, is/was completely public at the time gathered. None of it was private, but totally publicly available information, voluntarily put forth by these individuals. All are things that people posted, identifying themselves with their own names and faces. I am just bringing it all to a place where they may be responsible and (hopefully) understand the consequence of their words (and hopefully their parents, schools, and employers too).
