The Giant Bomb Quick Look Thread 2

I don't know about the game itself but the NSMBU quick look is a worthy sequel to the wii one.
4-5 people co-op quick looks are always hilarious, they should try to do them more often.

I really wish The Wonderful 101 was launch, I didn't realize I'd care so early, but I'm quite hyped, and if there was anything I wanted, I'd pick one up I think.

ZombiU looks good except for the extremely boring combat. Bashing each zombie, each 4 times, finishing them off. Dark Souls had slow, methodical combat but it was interesting. That...really doesn't look interesting.

Nintendoland will be a good wiisportsesque game which will prob get 300 plus hours for the wiius lifespan (unless wiisports3 is far superior that is)

Mario wiiu will be a great game like the ones before

Dont care much for zombieu... Will pick up once its in the bargain bin

I'm wondering if there is any other way to approach the combat, because the cricket bat does indeed look boring. I'd say the only other aspect of the game - looting - looks pretty boring too.

There should be a grapple attack that would instantly kill a zombie but leave you extremely vulnerable, good for isolated zombies but not abusable when facing a crowd.

I can't believe after using it twice and it clearly saying "Carbine" Patrick still thought it was a double barreled shotgun and upgraded the spread. -_-

man all y'all baggin on nintendo land or zelda are being grumps

it gives me wii sports resort vibes in terms of content and quality (especially since that one Zelda game was literally one of my favorite WSR games but super pretty) and WSR was Dope As Hell, so

Just finished all the wiiU stuff. Has made me very happy that I sold all my pre order slips instead of keeping a system for myself.

ZombiiU looks embarrassingly bad even though they seemed into it.

Honestly think this game would get slaughtered in reviews if it was a ps3/360 game 4 months ago instead of a WiiU launch game.

I forgot about that, yeah, no, we don't do that.

Umm, yeah we do

My bathroom

My parents house had a partitioned off segment of the bathroom with a washer and dryer and I've seen it elsewhere as well. The plumbing is nearby, seems convenient for home builders. I'm in the Eastern US.

Disclaimer: That's not actually my bathroom, I just did an image search for 'washing machine in bathrooom'

I've never heard of someone having a washing machine in the bathroom. Most are in the kitchen or garage I think

Then why did you write 'my bathroom' under it? How do you even know it's in England?

Looks like the sink is Armitage Shanks though.

It still might, the reviews aren't out yet. We'll see!

Yeah, we had that in our bathroom at my parents home too. Living in apartment complex now I share it with a few people in a basement though.

Same with my parents, except they live in Morocco.
I think these quick looks have sold me on buying the console. Having skipped the wii, I will have plenty of games to go through too while the wii u catalogue slowly builds up. I am not interested in ports at all, so I hope we keep getting these kind of 3rd party titles like Zombie U and the Platinum games in addition to the traditional Nintendo stuff.

nintendoland looks so much fun. love the super bright colour assault, all the music and there's a bunch of fun looking games especially that mario chase one goddam. *goes to amazon and looks up wii u deluxe price hoping it's a bit lower than i remembered*

uk here, only ever seen washing machines in kitchen or seperate utility room.

Nintedoland looks neat from a presentation standpoint, but the gameplay looks completely fucking abysmal. This is a pretty wack launch lineup tbh.

There are some fundemental differences I think in the meaning of the word "bathroom" between the US and the UK. For one, nobody in the UK would say "going to the bathroom" when they need the toilet, they would say "going to the toilet"... at least nobody I've ever met. Furthermore, in my house we have a tumble dryer in the toilet, a dedicated toilet room and a room called the bathroom which has a bath/shower in it as its primary feature but also has a toilet/sink.

It looks fine. It's a collection of like twelve minigames, not a compilation of 2 full games. What did you expect from it?

Nintendo land does look awful.

It looks like you could play that Zelda game by mashing the controller on your head!

What were they thinking?

Also on the Bathroom/Toilet situation.
Calling it a bathroom implies there is a bath (or shower) in there.
Any toilets are incidental.

A toilet in a room on its own (no bath/shower), is just called a toilet.

I hate how American bathrooms usually have the toilet in them. Toilets should be in their own separate room.

We should just go the Japan route and just have holes in the ground.

Man ZombiU just looks BORING. At least Mario U will be fun with people even if it's the same damn game.

I'm a diehard Nintendo fan, but none of these games does anything for me. Then again, it's Nintendo, maybe it's just that I'm not playing the game myself, I don't "feel" it.
