Isn't this just because WiiU doesn't support RGB full range? i.e. more a system than game issue (that will hopefully be fixed)I prefer the look of the 360 version to be honest. It looks too washed out on Wii U in my opinion.
Hey, everyone's welcome to their opinion, but the appeal of Giant Bomb is that they're not afraid to speak their minds on whatever they are covering. We're seeing their raw opinions being formed in realtime as they play these games and no other site comes close to matching that.
Of course, if you think they are "biased" or dislike the way they express themselves I could understand why you wouldn't enjoy it.
I regret buying this game so far :-/
Framerate is mediocre, there are occasionally obvious pop-ins, the first 1-2 hrs have been a complete snoozefest..
are your framerate complains about this specific version or about the game?
looks to be something in all skus.
I love the GB guys but dude, that's one lame ass defense.
The PC does not seem to suffer from those problems on a good rig.
One of my friend was playing a legit copy on a GTX460 and according to him it runs at 50-60fps at maxed settings with FXAA.
9 hours of play and not a single crash as well.
I hope I will be as lucky.

sorry, meant console skus. Of course the master race always has it better off ;-)
Go for the Wii U then, it can't be worse than the PS3 version anyway. And the game does look very nice on the gamepad.pc will always win the framerate/aa department... unfortunately my rig cannot run it...
right now i'm not sure if get this for my ps3 (where i have all the other games of the series) or my U (i always like to feed my youngest, and gamepad off screen gaming sounds really nice)
Not always, disastrous PC ports exist after all.AC3 is not one, apparently.

Yes, you can play hudless. There is an option in the HUD menu to move everything to the game pad.Did you check if you could play hudless? Can you move stuff from the TV to the gamepad?

However, there is some unwelcome news - specifically that the HDMI output is locked to limited-range RGB only, with footage from all games we've captured thus far revealing absolutely no information in the 0-16 or 235-255 areas. Many digital displays - PC monitors in particular - don't operate correctly with limited-range RGB, giving washed out colours principally defined by blacks being more grey-like in nature. This is something Nintendo really needs to address as a matter of urgency - it's the most basic of omissions, something that Sony and Microsoft resolved to everyone's satisfaction many, many years ago.
It's not "brighter", it's washed out. The Wii U does not support full range RGB, so any video capturing done through a PC will look washed out.
[/QUOTE] What the fuck?
The problem I have with them is that they seem to never have any idea what the fuck they're talking about. Any time I've watched their quicklooks, or something like this, or listened to their podcast, it's like they've never played/experienced a game before. Take 10 - 15 minutes to do some journalistic research before spouting your mouth off. It's really not that hard. Though to be far this is my issue with a lot of "game journalists" today. The vast majority of them don't bother to do their homework.

What they do that no other site does is let us experience the game for the first time with them. They regularly open up a new game and immediately jump into a quick look with minimal playtime prior to recording. It's fun and interesting to watch them run into issues.
