After standing in this line for an hour:
I said the hell with it. Here's my money. Pisses me off man. Gonna hold onto the receipt and see what I can fish up on Cyber Monday. The magazine rack was so fucking close to me I really should have flipped that bitch.
I'm thinking some of the rabid anti gun gaffers might not like it, but prepping isn't just about guns.

Yep felt pretty lucky to find Forza Horizon. There were plenty of xcom, dishonored, skyrim and all of the other $25 titles but those games are too expensive at this point even at that price. I think next year I'll just order online and wait a couple of days for things to come in the mail.

I used the community within this thread to get everything I wanted without going to a single physical store.
Even stores like BB are catching on to this.

I don't get why stores don't have a "Black Friday" type event several times a year. All of the shmucks that are past the first 100 in line never get the door buster deals and always end up buying something to not feel like they wasted their time and effort.
It would ease the madness of the one black friday a year and put more money in the pockets of the corporations. Makes sense to me.

Stores like JC Penny and Macy's have deals and doorbuster type deals throughout the calendar year.
Problem is, BF is directly related to Christmas, when the majority of US retail shopping is done. (it's also the 1st official day of Christmas shopping).
It's not from a retailers lack of trying to spread it out all over the year.
Or do it every friday from Thanksgiving to Christmas

Just about everyone in the US gets the Friday after Thanksgiving off.
They don't get every Friday after that until Christmas off.

Black friday is just a overhyped day to be honest. You get better deals on cyber monday. I work at macys and there are multiple times throughout the year where you can get better deals. The location I work Black Friday isn't even our busiest day of the year believe it or not.
I wish I got that day off lol if you work retail and don't show up you are fired simple as that
I remember last month a guy telling a manager that he was going out of town and she was like well you might as well turn in your resignation letter now

Wow, watching these videos would had steered me away from wamart. But thankfully mine was all set up (had an aisle sectioned off for video game deals) and all you had to do was get in line. Of course, it took me 20 minutes to figure that out. The line was super long but I got what I wanted in the end.

I'm telling you man. If I owned an electronics business every Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving I would offer 2 or 3 items 5 or 10 per item marked down 100-200 below retail. TV's, Consoles, and surround sound all marked down to where I would eat a bit of a loss.
People would line up and fight every weekend then settle for other merchandise not marked down. I could probably parlay the CCTV camera feeds for some extra cash on youtube.

Saw some on the shelf. Never saw any in carts. But no one is doing any bundles or sales, so probably not as much demand. The crowds for the ps360 bundles were a bit scary at one place.
....What the hell do they have inside Victoria's Secret that is worth that?

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I did a few tours of duty for BB many moons ago.
Pretty much asking for extended time off from BF to the second week in January (fucking returns...ugh) was frowned upon.
Corporations really need to do something about this shit I cringe looking at those poor girls in the victoria secret video. Fuck crowds disgust me. I remember reading that new yorker article and it making my blood boil.
