Black Friday 2012 |OT| **What do you mean Minimum of 5 at every location?**

Everything I ordered from Amazon separately all had a date of the 28th...I wonder if they did that intentionally in order to combine orders. Or at least I hope that is the case.

they sent all the black friday stuff i bought last year over a few days was sent in one order
 
This BF has been such a dud for me. Couldn't find the laptop I wanted, and I missed every $10 game sale from the MS store. At least I was able to get Forza Horizon for $15. :/
 
Stopped by Target and they had Xbox Points cards. But the problem was that they rang up full price, and thus began a 20 minute ordeal with customer service to get them to sell them at the $10 price shown in the ad.
 
So I really need a Roku-type of device.... but they never seem to discount them more than they already have at amazon. Does anyone know if they will have some sort of sale for Cyber Monday on these? Is the Roku even the best device for what I need, or is there anything better/comparable for the price?

Amazon currently has 3 models of the Roku available for $20 off their normal price:

Roku 2 HD - $39
Roku 2 XD - $59
Roku 2 XS - $79


They also have the Roku LT in stock ($48).

In my house I have 2 Rokus, a PS3, an Xbox 360 and my Samsung "Smart TV" that I use for streaming. I really like the Roku and can't think of anything better for what it does.

I use Plex to stream media from my PC. It's a channel that you can install on the Roku.

I feel dumb for even buying games like Borderlands 2 because by the time I play them, they'll be $20 anyways right? Same with Max Payne 3. I was about to get the SoTC and Jak and Daxter Collection, but I held off on those because those will definitely linger around $15. Could have gotten SSX on sale, but I said nah to that. Still have AC II, Batman: AA, and MGS IV in my back log...
 
This was a weak year for me. My only purchases were a pink DS3 controller for $35 at Best Buy and Bond 50 on Blu-ray from Amazon. Every TV I tried to buy, I failed to get.
 
Just got a 1 TB external hard drive from Newegg for $69. I thought about getting a bigger one, but realistically I won't fill up a terrabyte for at least a year.

looks like external hardrive sales weren't very good this year. i remember getting a 1.5TB external for 70 bucks a few years ago.
 
Yeah, the price of HDs hasn't been going down very quickly at all. A year and a half ago you could get 1GB/4¢ without any special deals, now you are lucky to get 1GB/3.5¢ during the holiday season. It's a bit frustrating. Doesn't help that I just barely missed that 3TB Amazon deal the other day as they were selling out.

Because a huge majority of those negative reviews came when the item was priced at 600$. Think of it this way... if you payed 600$ you'd expect an absolute top of the line TV, instead you get a solid TV with nice picture, lousy sound quality, and really is too small for anything other than a monitor a tv for your bedroom. At 100$ you're getting a really great picture, a set of 3d glasses, which are 50 dollars new, and a game. If you sell Motorstorm and the glasses on ebay, which I'm already in the process of, you make over half of that money back and come away with a kick ass display for about 30 dollars.
 
The Halo 4 deal with the $20 Amazon gift card and the $10 Amazon Instant Video credit is coming back at 11:00 am PST.
 
I'm salty. I just bought Homeland bluray on Friday from Amazon for $24.99 and today they dropped the price for $19.99. They won't give any money back and told me if I wanted I could order the $19.99 one and send back the $24.99 but that is too much of a hassle.
