If this is Amazon, be careful. The faster delivery often goes via HDNL who regularly lose, don't bother delivering and lie about parcels. They're freaking awful on the whole.

I have an order with Tesco and Amazon, Tesco have emailed me confirming it will be delivered on Friday, according to Amazon's Wii U page, my order is before the date that ensures it will be delivered for release. Do I stick with the cheaper price and risk having to wait a few days?

Holy shit I cancelled my sainsburys order on Friday and stuck with my more expensive shopto order must to the distain of my girlfriend. Weirdly they sent me a email saying they had cancelled it guess I made the right choice with shopto/doghouse.

I think it must be contagious! I had a white Wii U and black Nintendoland WII U on order from Sainsbury. This morning I decided to cancel the white one and stick with the black, so I went on their website to cancel the white one and I got an e-mail back saying they had cancelled the white one due to stock shortages at their warehouse. I've also got an e-mail saying I should receive the black one for Friday (Royal Mail permitting!).

Just noticed Zavvi a new offer on white Wii Us: £249.99 including a free game (several choices including Batman, Epic Mickey, Sonic, Just Dance, Rabbidsland, Sports Connection, etc etc). The white Wii U without a game is still £249.99 so I think it must be a mistake - get in quick before they notice!

Just this minute had an email from them cancelling mine too. Nice of them to wait so long to cancel, could have picked it up on another console instead if i'd known they weren't going to sell it at that price. Now I think i'll just wait for it to drop down to £10.

Edit: They did offer a £20 voucher for the inconvenience I suppose, but they still should have made it clear earlier that they weren't going to honour them.

Guy from another forum says he's received a £20 voucher for his cancelled AC3 order... Could be a very cheap copy of Rayman Legends at the end of this story.

GAME cancelled my Premium console + ZombiU + Pro Controller bundle online. No idea why seeing as it isn't listed as out of stock.

Tried re-ordering and if it doesn't go through again I'll go elsewhere.

I'm in the same boat as I got the cancellation email today.

I basically told them that I found it unacceptable to be told so late so asked for the standard edition for the same price + that voucher as compensation. I fully expect to be told to sod off but I'm pretty livid at the timing.

Just want to note that when I reordered my WiiU with Sainsbury's I had to cancel my first order and as a result I got the warehouse email so it seems there's an error on their end and it's sending the wrong emails. Hearing that some have had their orders cancelled makes me feel thankful that my second order got through because I was worried when I went to the back of the queue.

I feel bad now because I just left my AssCreedIII order to rot since they can't change the payment details and they've not cancelled it so I've potentially taken one order away from someone else.

Though I would rather have the £20 voucher. So not all that lucky.

I would say very confident. I will be MAD if they cancel it so close to release - they should have done it months ago if they do. But at this point, I really don't see them cancel it. You can't even get a Premium Wii U in time for release from them anymore.

Anyway, just decided to do a bit of tidying of my LoveFilm list. High Priority = The Wii U games I want to see; Medium = Vita games and a couple of Wii U games I wouldn't mind to try & low priority filler games for PS3/360.

This should be interesting. My current games should be back with LoveFilm tonight, at this rate will I see Wii U games before my console even arrives?

i usually only have 1 title on my list (the one i want) this way i know i wont be disappointed when they send a game out. i usually always get games on day of release with lovefilm

It's now been cancelled! Their e-mail said due to "unprecedented demand... and only limited availability of stock". I placed my order on 21 September so I think it's only fair they should cancel the latecomers orders (Yes, I know it's only bull on their part, but why lie?) They gave me a £20 voucher also, which I have used to place an order for.... Assassins Creed! Overall I'm a couple of quid worse of but it's currently the cheapest way to get AC3.

Zavvi ship hardware via courier. They likely won't send until Wednesday/Thursday. Relax.

The only experience I have of Zavvi is when I preordered Tatsunoko vs Capcom back in very early 2010 (I remember they were offering it for £19 iirc which I couldn't turn down) and it arrived on launch day. So my very limited experience with them has been fine for preordering.

I e-mailed Zavvi's customer service a couple of weeks back regarding their pre-order despatch policy. They said they will despatch the Wii U pre-orders ON Friday, so I would say you will probably be going mental. But then again, their customer services could be wrong....
