I welcome our Cal overlord.

Wonder if you could go back and edit Cal's season to not be a totally embarassing pile of crap?

Just kidding, you guys gave tOSU a good fight and I often root for you in the Pac-12, if only because of your congenial behavior, you loveable bastard, you.

First Cyan cheers dodging programs in 2013 and now you're agreeing with this... the Pac-64 needs to go back to 10 schools ASAP before things become irreversible.

Luckily, it won't matter once the playoff is implemented. No point in staying at 9 games if we were keeping the BCS around, though.

No one needs to fear. Except SEC fans.

Seriously you guys, you don't know how tempted I am to go back and edit all of alligatorjandro's posts in the CFB threads.

Do it. Replace anything saying "Go Gators" or "Go Gatas" to "2 losses in a row to UGA, how will I survive?"

I'm disturbed by how quickly power is corrupting Cyan.

Today alligatorjandro.

Tomorrow - It COULD BE YOU!

I am going to create a GAF petition to get Cyan's moderation privileges revoked, and given to a more responsible member of CFB-GAF, like pxleyes.

I'm not sure whether to congratulate Cyan or wish him luck. Modding a forum sucks ass, probably doubly so when it's one as busy as this.

So am I the only who finds it weird when i see people in other threads with college logos or other college football related avatars, yet they dont post in here?

Only the Bengals or Raiders are stupid enough to draft him at all.

I was going to suggest the Raiders, but you already took care of that for me. I could see him fitting in with the Panthers too, with ol' Cammie Cam.

It's because we're so intimidating. I do have to say that when I first started posting in here that I was a little lost with all the inside jokes. I still think we're pretty welcoming to new people. They just mistake the first shit talk they get as being hostile, without realizing that everyone gets that every week here.

So what's this rumor about FSU re-opening talks with the SEC and that Alabama is backing them?

Oh, and congrats to the biggest LSU fan this thread has seen on becoming a mod.

Pretty much the worst kept secret is if UMD gets their exit fee knocked down, the ACC is next to get poached (probably will happen regardless - just with more of a delay if the fee is not significantly knocked down). FSU is likely Big XII bound with an outside shot at the SEC... UF may get overruled because of the additions to the SEC also backing FSU.

It's going to get weirder as we approach the championship and you start seeing more and more Notre Dame avatars.

SEC would be preferably for geography. We'd be so much closer to the other schools than we are in the ACC. I still think UF is going to blackball that move though, regardless of who else wants us in. I've heard they have an agreement with SCAR so both schools will vote to block FSU and Clemson from ever entering. They're afraid that FSU's and Clemson's already stellar recruiting abilities will go through the roof if they enter the SEC.

I think the bigger thing is the looming sec network.... just look at what the big10 took just to add new tv markets. Adding fsu/clemson doesn't really bring any new markets that florida and scar don't already get the sec.

That said I'm sure they will talk.... would be stupid not to but ultimately I think they add virginia/north carolina schools.

As much as the Big 12 may not like expansion, they have to do something with WVU. They will just rot on the vine so far removed from the rest of the conference. Work out some 3 way trade with the Big 10 and ACC to get Nebraska back and WVU in the ACC

Like Goldeneye mentioned, The additions of the new schools might be enough to nullify the rumored "block." Back with 12 teams, I think they had to have 9 "yes" votes. Rumor was the blocking group was 4 teams. The move to 14 might have changed the amount of yes votes, but I'm not sure the SEC has stated what that number might be now.

I don't see being in the SEC helping FSU's recruiting that much. They already pull in top recruits and are usually ranked very high. I do understand why SCar wouldn't want Clemson though.

Why would UF blackball them, though?

Being in the SEC would help FSU's (and Clemson's) recruiting because on top of already being big draws for students, they could additionally sell recruits on the fact that they would be playing in the "best" conference against top tier talent, which would improve the recruits' draft prospects (though admittedly, the ACC somehow already does incredibly well in the draft despite the poor stature of the conference on the field).

So if FSU is already recruiting as well or better than UF, this added advantage would further improve FSU's recruiting (especially in-state), which is a detriment to UF. Same holds true for SCAR and Clemson.

Because it requires a certain number of "yes" votes from the existing schools to add a new school, UF and SCAR supposed agreed to always vote "no" on adding FSU and Clemson to help each other out.
