THQ Humble Bundle is up (THQ needs your money lol)

If you want the games, you pay for the games. If you want to give to charity, give to charity. If you want the games and give to charity you give money to both. But to want the games and value it as $0 would be an insult imo. If you just wanted to give to charity, there's nothing stopping you from giving them money directly instead of having to use humblebundle to do it.

There's an "All To Charity" button directly on the page.

Humble Bundle is directly encouraging this practice by having a big button there, listed even before "All To Developers".

Do you like Starcraft? Starcraft 2? CoH will make you hate it just by the sheer amount of awesome it is.

Fuck, caught using literally wrong. Damn youuuuuu.

To put it in a way, people are fine with THQ dying as long as CoH2 comes out before they shut down.

One of the best RTS games ever.

It is amazing. It looks ok even today and it plays really great.

I will take this as a massive endorsement for the game. I wanted to drop some regular price on the games and not be a cheap skate like I have been with some other bundles.

This x100000. Use it if you guys want the games but don't wanna give to THQ.

What does this mean for the South Park game? Are they still making that?

I know very well they allow this. But some of the people doing this in this very thread and on twitter are certainly not doing this because they love charity, but do this specifically to make some point against THQ.

Have all I want, bought a BTA bundle to gift a friend and support THQ ("all to THQ" on the split). This is sad.

In my opinion though this might seem, and I'm sure it is indeed considering THQ reality, a desperate move, it's a very laudable move from THQ nonetheless. They will be going under but while they were going the way of the dodo they still contributed to charity.

Also, I'll give AAA games as much schtick as any other gaffer, but I am sick of this "us or them" mentality indies have. I would be more forgiving of it if this were EA or ATVI but this is THQ for crying out loud; a publisher on it's last legs who at least did try to make games that were different in the AAA marketplace.

You and me both, even if it was EA or ATVI the bundle stipulations means they don't get 100% of profit if people don't want them to. Indies taking offense since this is a "big name publisher" are missing the point of the bundle: Pay what you want to whoever you want.

And frankly, that "us or them" mentality is exactly why I refuse to try or buy Indie games. Maybe when Indies stop thinking their shit doesn't stink I'll give them the time of day.

Welp, THQ can absolutely forget about me ever buying a full price game from them. I genuinely enjoy their games but I can't justify a $60 purchase knowing how low the price will drop.

It's not like they have any new games coming out in the foreseeable future.

Come on, Amazon. Google payments are jacked up too.

Man, Saints Row the third will be mine when I get home I guess.

Man.

I think I'll be putting 100% of the money towards THQ on this one.

THQ probably won't be around long enough to release another $60 game.

Good to have played you, Darksiders.

List of PC Humble Bundle games that were not self published
- Penumbra series (Paradox Interactive)* may be the retail release only
- Hammerfight (Kranx Productions and 1C)
- Shank (Electronic Arts)
- Bastion (Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment)
- Vessel (indiepub)
- Zen Bound 2 (Chillingo Ltd, Secret Exit)

This isn't definitive because I just scanned Wikipedia for PC versions, often the Linux version was a different publisher or may be referencing a retail release. Feel free to correct me if you know that the Humble Bundle funded the developer directly or a game is missing.

e. Thank you Stump.

I already own all of these games but I bought a couple of bundles anyway to give to friends.

I consider this bundle "Operation Save THQ: An Awesome Company."
