So it's creeping up on $1,000,000 already. Has any bundle hit 1 million that quickly?
A co-worker linked me to this today and I've been wanting to give saints 3 a go it just looks so ridiculously crazy. I'm kinda embarrassed that I didn't even know what a 'humble bundle' was until earlier today. I'm so far out of the gaming scene now.
I'll certainly keep a eye out for future humble bundles feels good getting a game while also giving to a worthy charity.
Surprise, surprise. It is working. Were hopefully going to raise a huge amount of money for charity and expose a ton of new customers to the Humble Bundle model. We are debuting more games for Mac and Linux (and Androidand even had an eBook digital debut this year!) and this will just help us continue to do so, Graham said. We are humbly hopeful that our customers will see this as a good thing instead of a permanent departure from what we have done and will continue to do.
This thread is fun.
Not that I know of, no.
I thought that Humble Bundle was the brand and Indie was the kind of bundle it was. They've done stuff other than Indie bundles in the past.
It's an escape clause that allows people in this thread not to debate what the HIB has actually always meant.

As for the DRM-free discussion, Multiwinia, DEFCON and Gratuitous Space Battles had multiplayer keys. Just sayin'.
I'm not sure what your point is? Those games where still DRM free regardless of the multiplayer.
Feeling sorry for THQ right now
I wonder if I'll ever get to play that SR3 expansion now.
In the same way I see a difference between Fox Searchlight and BBC Films. Those may be worth their own debate (I have enough on my plate having half of GAF hating me now lol), but clearly you can see difference I see between Bastion and Red Faction: Armageddon?
Great bundle. All money to THQ.

Yeah it's a pretty great deal if you don't own even one of the ga... Hey! Wait a minute!
Can you fault me for calling this the Humble Indie Bundle without thinking it twice prior to this day? Well, that's no more, like I said, the HIB was a nice thing that promoted indie ideals like DRM-free games, affordable prizes, the non-persecution of pirates, porting for neglected platforms like Linux, etc. THQ doesn't represent that, and it feels like your favorite indie band signing to the big label. They probably never said they'd "sell out" but that doesn't make it right. So if they've never stated that they were indie only, then why does it matter if they have a THQ or any other publisher/dev bundle?
OK at least now I know you're missing the point intentionallyI'm sure someone had the same argument when Amazon started offering more than just books.
I don't know those books (what's with all the book counterarguments lol), so I don't know what to tell you. Maybe I'd mind if they were selling Harry Potter? In all previous bundles they sold games - did you complain about "going back on their morals" when they did a book bundle?
Are you a DRM Free only digital game gamer? How about physical copies of games with intrusive DRM?
So i have SR3-key I don't need. I'll PM it to the first to quote this.

Same with EA doing their own Kickstarter or something, it's big companies known for fucking everything up, sticking their noses in every single safe haven, and what's the first thing that happens? You get a Windows-only, Steam-only bundle.
I'm not gonna be fatalist, probably next month we'll get HIB#7 and it'll be nice and cool and we'll buy Hotline: Miami's OST for 10 bucks and it'll be ok but for me it won't be the same.
I try to be. I've passed on many "must-play" games as a result, which is a bit of a shame. (Yup, haven't played Portal. Still bothers me sometimes!) But I prefer to stand by the principle of DRM-free, even if it costs me some fun experiences.
As, after all, so much of the thread likes to point out, they're only games.
(I think the last physical PC game I bought was The Last Remnant, and then I found out it GWFL. I still haven't put the disc into my computer as a result, and probably never will...)
please
broke a million.
Did the same thing here, and basically paid $10 for a CoH expansion pack and the soundtracks since I own all of the other games there already through other means.Great bundle. All money to THQ.
In 4h 30m.Well there we go. Just hit $1,000,000

see belowAny German already tried to redeem the key? Do we get the censored versions of Saints Row and Company of Heroes?
I live in germany and cant redeem any of them.
I live in Berlin, just did it with no problems. You should've gotten one key anyway.
But it's not.
It's Stamworks :V

In 4h 30m.
For comparison:
HIB5 took a little over 5 hours to reach $1m and ended at $5.1m
HIB6 took ~2 days and ended a little over $2m
This thing will go places
Um...I'm not inclined to go fishing through my collection, (because hell if I know which storage bin it's in) but I could've sworn it has the Games for Windows logo on it. Well, thanks for the correction then...
But I believe that Steamworks, in its current form, didn't exist when I bought it...

This is awesome but I own everything but Red Faction.

Some of you guys realise that you can give a little more then 1 buck for a company that you like instead of laughing at people that will lose their jobs right...
