Yep, DPD. And they delivered 1 minute before the slot with a hearty 3 pushes on our buzzer!

I don't know if they usually deliver on the weekend as the CS guy told me it may be Monday if they could not come back yesterday but I kicked up a stink and tweeted, next thing you know I have a Saturday delivery slot.

Just unpacked and about to kill an hour while it all updates......

Weirdly - GAME. Console prices are fairly similar in most stores, but game/gamestation have the games for £25 if you buy at the same time as the console, 25% off Wii U accessories, and 50% extra trade in when you use the credit to buy anything WiiU

Bear in mind it's only the multiplat games. It's not like you can get Mario and ZombiU for that price. And if you want them, you're definitely better off in HMV or something, where they aren't £55.

I got super mario for £25 yesterday. maybe I was lucky? the guy at the counter asked me if I wanted extra games, I told him I wanted both assassins creed 3 and mario, he rung them up for £25 each.

Well the bundle I got from GAME was Deluxe Wii U, ZombieU and a starter accessory pack for £350. There was a £28 discount at checkout (£310+£55+£13=£378)
 
Well, Finally online with my Wii U. My NNID is StopIt for anyone who wants to add me. Still waiting on the postman for Black Ops and ZombiU though...

I was told that it was pretty much everything bar Mario and ZombiU. They listed AC3, Batman, TANK TANK TANK, Sonic Racing... A list. You were, I suspect, lucky. Or your branch are just really nice.

they can be nice people, apart from when they are cold selling accessories or warranties. either way, I'm just really happy that I lucked out and got it for £25.

Good looking out. Gonna stop by a GAME and see what some trade-in prices I can grab.

this actually made me consider going to a GAME to trade in some old games to get some Wii U stuff, until i realised i actually dont know where the nearest one to me is anymore. like there used to be 3 within a short distance of my home, now there are none.

is there a list of the upcoming release dates for Wii U games in the UK? considering whether i should pick up wario's orochi now or space things out a bit over the next few weeks...

they are offering good trade in prices. you get 50% more trade in value for consoles and I think 33% more trade in value for games if you intend to use the credit towards a wii u. they have a good deal on where you can a number of launch titles for £25 if you buy them alongside the console.

that said, they are up to their old tricks. a friend traded in his vita on launch night and they offered him £75 before the 50%. just last week, they were giving £119 store credit for wifi vitas.

don't fall for some of their prices though. zombiu is £55 and can be bought for at least £10 cheaper from hmv I think. the same is true of the pro controller, they are selling it for £50, it can be bought for £33 from zavvi.

A screen protector, an extra stylus, a cleaning cloth and a "neo case" which is a nice little padded cover for the gamepad. I'll never use it but the fact is, I class it as I got it for free and ZombieU for £40...

edit- Also we spoke about Trine 2 yesterday, it's amazing :)

I'd also like to know. off the top of my head, I don't think we're getting any new games until the new year. I hope I'm wrong about that though.

I don't mind personally of we don't get any new games until next year, I've got three good games and I'm planning to download nano assault and trine 2 this evening. I also have a small but slowly increasing pile of wii games that I've always wanted to play.

thanks. that sounds decent and better equipped than I thought it would be. I might head back in tomorrow and buy one.

i think i will just try to pick up some wii stuff for now. when i bought my wii i had a great time playing gamecube games on it

As long as I can get one of these each month (Jan, Feb and March) i'll be more than happy. Give me a few eshop titles too and that's more than enough to tide me over.

You don't have to wait for these updates to complete. Start it, then press the button on screen to close. You can then play the game and the update will download in the background as you play. Next time you load the game it will apply the update.

With YouTube, NetFlix, etc. bundled apps are placeholders so you can't use them until downloaded. But you can still background the download.

Interesting. I just walked into the one in Sheffield city center and the trade-in for a 3DS and PSPGo was £60 & £30 respectively. So I'd get £135 if it put it to a Wii U then, correct? A shame my bank card just happened to stop working yesterday. :/

They also had 10 of the basic and premium at that store. Wonder if I should rush back or wait a bit longer.

no worries. I think it's great that nintendo went with full bc for wii games. there's a ton I always wanted to play but didn't want to buy a wii just to play them. this way, I get to enjoy them as well as new games I find more intriguing.

I think that's right but I think it might be limited to just one console, but I'm pretty sure I'm wrong about there being a limit. I don't want to give you wrong information though, so give your local store a call or pop in and ask them before trading those in.
 
Update took about 80 minutes so I played a little Nintendoland while that update was downloading. Had a blast with both the Zelda and Donkey Kong games while also testing I can play in our bedroom (which I can).

Gotto go out soon so will create my NIN ID thingy later then start adding people.
 
My COnsole from Amazon had the copy of Nintendo Land missing (which obviously Amazon have now resolved with the download code), and it seems also my Club Nintendo code to register my console is missing :(

There isn't a console code. You register it in the eShop then fill in a survey on the website.
 
The Wii transfer animation is so amazing.
There's something strangely poetic about switching my Wii on for the final time and watching the Pikmin blast off towards the Wii U.

The console gets registered when you link it with club nintendo. You then need to do a survey and you get 1000 points

Anyone else notice that the shoulder buttons in Mii plaza rotate the game icons and send the Mii's all running?

You're lucky - mine took 4 hours 30 mins yesterday.
 
The US Wii Us had frequent lockups on Nintendoland, but I haven't had any yet - maybe Nintendo fixed it? Anybody had lockups on Eurpean Wii Us?

isn't it just. I don't mind if it's not as technically good as the other versions (even though gearbox claim it will be the best version), I just can't wait to fulfil one of my most long held fantasies.

zombiu has me really excited by this. the beeping when you enter a new location is just nerve shattering. I can't wait to see how much better it is with alien.

Strange, I only made it this afternoon but it should be there, I hope!

Anyway, Zavvi never came through with my games today, so nothing really to play other than Nintendo Land. I wish Blockbuster had games to rent, boo.

you have to activate the friends request option. press home and select the orange face, it's self explanatory from there. (apologies if you've already done this. I had the same issue yesterday but doing the set up through fixed it)

sorry to hear about your games not arriving. if you're looking for digital games, I've heard / read very good things about nano assault and trine 2. as an added both, both can be played on the gamepad as well as your telly.
