My best bowl source puts it at 75% that the Cap One will select #Northwestern over Nebraska.
How the heck do you give up 70 points in the conference championship? That's clown shoes.
So this is interesting.
Teddy greenstein from Chicago Tribune says that the Capital One bowl is going to pick Northwestern over Nebraska.

Looks like my vacation plans may be back on after all.
Wow...
Yep, A&M gets the bowl no one watch, while UGA should get a good matchup if OU doesn't make it to a BCS game. Which is good.
It's the only thing I asked for for Christmas so...soon hopefully??Wii U owners?
Capital One would be so dumb. I know Neb was in last year but does NW travel well? Especially for a bowl of that level? So this is interesting.

So Clemson to the Peach bowl again?
Northwestern travels exceedingly well relative to their piss-poor regular season attendance. AD Jim Phillips has been known to pull out all the stops in selling the brand to the various bowl committees that the Big Ten has tie-ins with. In fact, in several of the last five years, Northwestern as jumped over another team in expected bowl picking order
And they've played pretty well in four of the last five bowls they were in, each with above-average TV ratings on account of the shoot outs (like auburn in 2010 that went two OTs and something insane like 170 offensive plays).
The only real downer, other than the fact that they're not likely to snap their 63 year bowl drought, is that this will likely be a rematch of last year's Meineke Car Care Bowl with Texas A&M, and that game was really not much good last year.
wait wait wait. they haven't won a bowl in 63 fucking years?
Turn away Andycapps, this is for Bluemax and the Bowl Game topic!
There's still one more regular season week topic to be made!
So many good / so so games today.
So when the signups start for college bowls pick ems?
Thanks for the reminder! Anyone who was in the Pick Em last year SHOULD have just received an email with whatever account you used last year inviting them back.
If you weren't in the group last year and/or you don't remember you email/password you can sign up with a new one using this info:

All of them?Well, ask yourself this simple question: on which site would it be better, faster, everything perfect, etc.

I would prefer ttk to spearhead the bowl pickem. His hand calculations could potentially lead to a mistake here and there, but it's equally necessary to uphold the sanctity and tradition of the pickem, and human error may come as a consequence.
BCS Guru thinks Nebraskas loss will get NIU to #16. Oklahoma to the Cotton Bowl, Texas to the Alamo Bowl vs. the Pac-12 #4
Yeah neither did the return defense with a ref running up like he's blowing the play dead.Just saw the Tulsa punt return for a TD. Pretty funny, didn't expect that.
I wonder if we get a rematch in the outback. Would suck.So this is interesting.

Oh for crying out loud.Yeah, with FSU win that was going to happen. Think Clemson's gonna get LSU. Though I've heard some strange thoughts that it might pick...
South Carolina.

Have you seen a gif of Lacy's run where he's bottled up on the inside then spins right to the outside for a ~20 yard gain?
Well, I just woke back up after checking out halfway through the game.
Holy shit that score.
I sat through the whole thing. That score doesn't even show how bad it was. They probably could have had 80+ if they had tried. And the entire game they kept gashing us for 40+ yards on that jet sweep. We couldn't stop a freaking sweep play the 5 or so times they ran it. Just shameful.
Would be crazy awesome if they could sneak in.NIU being projected to get up to #16.
I sort of checked out about halfway through. Was our offense shitting it up too, or just the black shirts?

I only agree because it would result in plentiful Sooner tears.Would be crazy awesome if they could sneak in.

As far as creating good BCS matchups goes, it's very un-awesome.
I agree with this too, but I still want to see good bowl matchups.True, but I have zero sympathy for the bowl system and the affected conferences/matchups.
Bo Pelini: defensive genius
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Salt in the wound.![]()
What an embarrassment, makes me wonder how bad we would have beaten unl. Prolly by 100 points, just like we would bama, notre dame, etc. guess the world will never know.
True, but I have zero sympathy for the bowl system and the affected conferences/matchups.
I only bring this up again as a salty Sooners fan, but NIU will lose millions by going to the game. Hopefully though those losses are offset by all the exposure and prestige a BCS bowl brings and their program gets a bounce in status like Connecticut did
