Dan Didio is a fucking cu t for killing Vertigo. Not because of Karen, editors are just talentless people. But for not letting Vertigo have stories or variety. I fucking puke every morning to Kirkman being the face of creator "owned" comics

What you don't want Dashiell Bad Horse to be your next Super-Chief?

Scalped 2: Scalped Harder

Bad Horse comes back to Res, realizing that this is truly the only home he has, and quickly builds himself up to the top, leaving only Red Crow to stop him. "Nagi Tanka...just when I think I'm out...they pull me back in!"

This is my favorite post in DAYYSSSSSS

A) You can say cunt, it's fine, really
B) Saying editors are talentless is a pretty stupid thing to say, but even more so when you're talking about Karen Berger. (It could even be argued that she's the only talented editor DC has right now, but that's another argument for another post)
C) Cancelling Hellblazer and Karen Berger stepping down isn't "killing Vertigo"
D) By the way, Vertigo was already stepping away from full creator ownership - it's a WB thing, and it's really shameful, but it was happening
E) Saying Kirkman, or indeed anyone else, is the face of creator-owned comics is kinda sorta missing the point of creator-owned comics

WELL GREAT

First no Marvel Boy trilogy, now no Seaguy trilogy

Hmmmm i enjoyed Walking Dead 104 and Invincible 97 100x more (roughly) than Amazing Spidey 697 and Ultimates Ultimate Ultimates #18. I'm still interested in what Humphries does with the next arc, but ASM i'm just reading to read atm.

Yeah buddy! Invincible 97 was fucking raw as hell, loved that issue. 98 is apparently coming out this week but my buddy, who works a comic shop near here, said he didn't see it on their order form which usually means it's not coming out. They would definitely order it too because they have a few people with it on their pull lists.

I need to stop reading all my most anticipated comics of the week every Wednesday to keep up with Comic-GAF. Now it's Monday, I'm bored and all I have to hold me over til new comic day is crap like X-Men Lagacy and Venom in my to read pile. :(

Oh wow, I haven't put name and person together. Damn, Karen is so fucking important. What a damn shame. I hope she gets to do something awesome. Damn.

Yo, X-Men Legacy 2 was really great! Chamber is in it! I read ALL my books on Wednesday as soon as I get them. Wednesday is the best day of the week.

Chamber was funny. The writing is actually not so bad, I just don't really have any interest in what's going on in the book. A lot like Remender's Secret Avengers. It's well written but holy crap is that an autopilot read for me. Everything happening in the last half dozen issues just goes in one ear and out the other.

"[Karen Berger] will help decide on a new Vertigo director." Why bother? The position won't even exist a year from now. - Mark Waid

Damn, son

Waid doesn't pull any punches. He has nothing to prove since he has such a quality body of work so he just calls it as he sees it.

She's an editor. All they do is criticize and are glorified secretaries. Vertigo is dead brah, it died the second they let Fables be their tent pole.

Amazing Spider-Man #698

................................................................................................

i don't even know if i liked it, but the ending was cute.

Superior Spider-Man theory that seems to make everyone right:

I was on comicvine, and one theory was that Peter would end up in Norman's body, or somehow their consciousness would be combined. Remember, Osborn disappeared right before issue 698. And besides a Peter/Ock combo, who else would consider themselves a "Superior" Spider-Man? We know that Osborn has constantly talked about what he and Spidey could accomplish as a team, and he does have foot claws lying around (wall crawling envy much?) Even moreso, I forget who though it would be Harry - that would explain the jawline to a degree... they're family. Hates kids? Have you seen what kind of father Osborn has been? Fits with a dark and twisted tone, etc. This is my new theory.

I'm thinking it's someone Dan Slott has been developing in his Big Time run, I would bet on Tiberius Stone or Phil Urich (also has an uncle ben) before I would bet on either Osborn

I can't tell who the fuck is who in this Iron Man comic. I think Land traces what he traces. Such a disappointing comic....

You would think that with how important Iron Man / Robert Downey Jr. are to Marvel they'd put better talent on the Iron Man book.

Sadly Land is confirmed to be on it for the long haul. :(

Bring back Bob Layton damn it! >:|

WELL GREAT

As if Seaguy 3 was ever going to be made anyway. It's one of far too many books Morrison has always talked about but put on the far back burner.

I can't tell if this is a serious comment.

There is a current rumor that says Peter just stops being Peter and is only Spidey now. No more secret identity.
Personally I'm not sure if I buy it though.

Also, can we get some better art on Ironman? This shit is a joke.

Editors seem to get a generally bad rep, but there's some really, really good ones. Berger is one of them. She's one of the most influential people in comics history.

Ryan Stegman would probably be pretty awesome on Iron Man. He has a slight rigid quality to his work that would be fabulous with fancy iron pants.

Ken Garing from Image's Planetoid could probably do good as well.

Actually a few years back Tony Moore drew Iron Man once on the Internet and damn was it good looking.

In half assed defense of Brahfeld, editors in comics do have a pretty shitty rap. So it's not unexpected that there would be some blowback based on the common perception of editors in funnies.

There certainly to be issues with editors at DC and Marvel proper, with lots of top-down directives that the editors have to enforce.

Karen Berger seems to have a fantastic reputation from everything I've read.

I wonder if someone over at Marvel thinks Land is "better talent." You'd think someone would have told them otherwise by now.
