Yes, but thus far Sony is only giving it to devs who are developing for the Vita.
Actualy there's no capture kits available AT ALL for the Vita. What devs have are actually dev kits which are easily 10x more expensive than simple capture kits.
Don't know about the review coming out today but I think Brad is doing it.Have they mentioned if a Far Cry 3 review is coming today and who is doing the reviewing?
A bit of googling tells me that it's available at the low low price of 1900.
Yeah you're right, I just checked the order form and it's less expensive than I thougth (I'm more used to "full size" console than handheld).
It's still a dev kit though which Sony obviously won't give to a journalist.
Ya, I don't think the Giantbomb crew could justify writing a check for $2500 for one Quick Look.
:lol
Bah it's not that, I don't think the 2500$ is a problem, they did buy a super expensive piece of equipment just to do a SNES stream a couple of years ago lol.
Sony just won't give a dev kit to a journalist, even if the journalist is willing to pay.
Oh really? Wow, that's kind of the stupidest thing I've heard all week. If they're willing to shell out the cash so that you can basically get free advertising, then why the fuck not? Are they worried about the Dev kits getting into the hands of Hackers?
There's a LOT of stuff you have to sign when you buy a dev kit. Lots of NDAs, licenses etc. You also never actually own the hardware, it's just on a loan and you have to return it when you are done with it. The hardware and software inside a dev kit is not for public distribution.
Heck, the 360/PS3s are almost a decade old now and you're still not allowed to show the kits publicly. I know you can find pictures if you really look for them but a dev that shows or talk about that stuff could actually loose his license (and the right to develop on that platform at the same time).

It'll be out, like, on the 2nd or 3rd of January or something like that.
It's like when Shawn Elliott would tell his personal stories on GFW. I'm sure Jeff has many more, and I'd love to hear them. My other favorite Jeff story is when he was living with the chicks that worked at that pizza place.
seems everyone has turned on FArCry 3. hope they tell why on the podcast

I thought they were only cold on the co-op and story?

from what i've played i think it could suffer in a similar way as skyrim. It's a lot of fun at the beginning but it lacks some depth/advanced systems and it becomes aparent in the end.
Though, considering it's not nearly as long you might finish the game before that happens.
Sony gave DeadMau5 a Vita with HDMI out.
But they can't hook up review outlets.

Brad 5/5 again #teambrad
The best justification for the co-op campaign is clearly the .The developers set out to include a full cooperative campaign that's more than a little similar to Left 4 Dead, right down to the four stereotypical characters (such as an Eastern European mobster and a Trainspotting-esque Scottish hoodlum) you can play as. There's a neat story justification for all this, with a lengthy CG cutscene setting the whole campaign up, and the .

also its just a joke he hated RE6 and he has given plenty of other negative reviews.
i think this preception comes from the fact that ALex and Jeff carry the load on reviews, patrick and ryan barely do any and Brad seems to get the Good to great games.
What is that, 12 years ago? He looks like he's barely aged a day!
Great games like Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor and Fable: The Journey![]()

Alex just ripped family guy a new one
Brads remarks in this thread and patrick on twitter have been down on the single player some what.
Good information to know. It seems like it would be pretty easy to make available something for an outfit like GiantBomb. I'm sure there is someone at Sony who can give me a great reason as to why they don't want to provide video out for anything other than Dev Kits, but until that happens I will be left scratching my head.

christ can someone just leak Far Cry 3's story beats already
