I won't miss you Totobeni >:(

Wait was that some sweet justice being served?
Are we being watched? Always assumed this thread was sliding under the radar

We're just about there at the end my friends. It was great knowing all of you. Until we meet again...which hopefully will be immediately after this thread ends and another one starts.

I'll miss Totobeni so the rest of you don't have to

Thanks man. I really didn't want to miss him so I appreciate it.

;_; but I'm cute and harmless as a persian kitten.

I love you all

You were always my favorite. <3

I've decided to get a Wii U earlier than I planned so that I can meet you in more threads.

Soul Sacrifice looks....probably as good as it could on a super low tech Japanese streaming site. I'll hold out until they give a decent preview.

Totobeni really just needs a day at the spa.

Is it coincident that I'm allergic?
I kid :p

Loving it. Been kinda busy the last day, but jumping back in tonight. Such a great port! Sadly I have yet to see anyone on the game's activity list .... which I guess says enough ;<

Well it's not out in NA. I have it preordered so there will be at least one person on your activity list when I get it lol. I think it come out on the 18th here. But I'm glad to hear it's a great port.

Oh I suppose you're alright Toto. You just have terrible taste in games (with a few exceptions).

It's great in that the awesome content is there, graphics are decent, loading times are great - framerate I would not say is even mediocre though. Currently trying to bug them for another patch as their first performance patch wasn't enough.. Time trial plays great though. :P It's still sega all-stars so it is a fun despite framerate and I'm booting it up a lot.

Yeah, I feel like that's something they may fix though, since they already had one patch. Then again, though, who knows. It really scared me when you said that it had Modnation Racers-level framerates.

I've played through the first three maps and only noticed any performance hit when doing anything with water. Actually the worst bit was having 6 people on screen, with two swarms between us all in water. Must have hit low 20s there lol .. although that was for a few seconds.

I've played the demo on PS3 and the framerate also chugs when it comes to water, so might just be a universal thing.

^ I played the demo too and it did drop a bit in the water..but there is a pretty huge difference between the graphics (although they honestly are more than good enough on Vita) ..I was hoping it was just a demo issue too? This also doesn't drop only in the water..A lot of levels have choppy areas -- I think it's loading scenery too fast in those areas..big draw distances. You're right about the water though, and it felt at times low 20s when others are on screen as well...usually on the water but not always. Luckily some of the later levels have only a small amount of lag and actually look better than the first few levels too! It's probably the water + models + environment loading... but we deserve better imo. I'm not liking this low standard for framerate - especially with karters.

As Zeer0id says below, so nice in MK with the solid framerate.

Modnation (framerate) is terrible, this is less so.. has been a while since I played modnation, but there is enough in this to notice. Doesn't cause me to rage but just disappointed as I was hoping for a perfect port since it's such a good racer. I don't want to lessen your excitement for the game especially if you lot aren't as annoyed about framerate as I am...but I still want the improvements. With them....it would a stellar game - If I'm playing it and the framerate is dropping and I'm still reasonably happy then it must be ;)

Once you lot get it and play I'll forward you to the framerate thread and twitter accounts to bug :)

Btw anyone know why nhlducks35 was banned?

Pretty sad about that framerate, I guess :(

MK7 for all its sameyness is locked at 60 fps even in 3D. I'm not usually a stickler for framerates, but for racers it's kind of important, imo.

It's no where close to Mod nation level though. I though everyone was overacting but when I bought it on PSN for like 5 pounds .... My god.

Vita needs more fighters. This handheld was made for them.

In some circle it's been called The Playstation Fighting Port Machine.

My friend, it already has so many. And DoA5+ was just announced. And we'll probably get more. I do agree that the handheld is perfect for them with it's dpad.

Oh, I just booted up Modnation Racers to check its framerate and I scrolled down to the activities out of curiosity. Of course, nothing was there. BUT it reminded me that devs can post to the live area, and it made me wonder why more games don't do this.

Actually, I suppose it's because of how fast the activities can move. But they need filters which just adds to my idea for activities.

In case any of you didn't see my idea, I said " I love how Vita kind of beat MiiVerse (from Wii U) to the punch of being updated as to what friends are doing on individual games. However, I feel there is more that can be done to expand. I was thinking about maybe, on each games Live Area, having a tab for Activities (like there is now) and a tab for Community, where anyone from your region and comment/draw a post on a game's live area. Then have an app that could aggragate all the games where you can view the communities and activities for all the Vita games from one app. Just thinking about that makes me giddy with excitement."

^ I'd love those extra activity feed features, think it is a great idea.

Modnation pissed me off because it was a good game (and missed needed features/fixes) but the framerate was shockingly bad...it was a slideshow when racing and firing a level 3 weapon...but it had dynamic shadows and a lot of effects...this has less so, should really be able to hit a solid 30 throughout. When I play a time trial with mostly flying on the map it runs like a dream, makes me so happy (for the level :P).

Vita needs more fighters. This handheld was made for them.

Only ones left are Tekken and King of Fighters right?

Would love to have arcade stick support just for the hell of it...maybe with that usb port and an adapter... I remember someone modded the psp to work with it. I know it's a bit silly but with a vita stand...it would be pretty cool as an option imo

Thing is, there's just so much going on in SASRT that it's understandable. I think they probably over reached with tracks like Race of Ages, Rogues Landing and Sky Sanctuary. They're pushing an insane amount of detail and destruction/morphing.

But the Sega fan in me appreciates it, because they're damn magical interpretations.

Definitely an ambitious effort, and while I respect that, perhaps it would have been wise to scale back a little.

In the Vita version, anyway

Yeah, I wasn't exactly champing at the bit to get my hands on another kart racer, but after seeing some of those tracks, I was pretty damn impressed with what they were doing.

I hope they don't scale back (much) and just make improvements, I really think it should be able to hit 30 as is - no dynamic shadows, few shaders - sequenced destruction, lots of clipping and a lot of simple textures (while still looking good) - but it should be good solid 30 - especially after I played NFS:MW on the vita..that game drops too but is much more impressive performance wise imo, despite the graphics looking slightly less impressive).
