It's like they're being run by morons. I just keep hoping they don't fuck with Batman.

Batman is safe. Scott and Capullo on the book is bringing in so much money, so DC isn't going to fuck with that.

In fact, I don't see DC messing around to much with Bats, Aquaman, JL, Wonder Woman, A-Man/Swamp Thing, or Green Lantern. Everything else though...

DC editorial and creators could copy Marvel's summits approach to make sure everyone is on the same page. It seems a lot of the time there is a lack of communication.

This would work wonders. There just appears to be a total lack of planning going on.

I hope with DC disintegrating into useless nothing, that this means a new renaissance for indie comic publishing. These superstars can strike out on their own, or go to a smaller publisher who will allow them more control and freedom.

I think Snyder is a star and they won't do anything to piss him off. DC editorial and creators could copy Marvel's summits approach to make sure everyone is on the same page. It seems a lot of the time there is a lack of communication.

They won't because Marvel is doing it.

Other things that would make sense but DC won't do because Marvel are doing it :
  • recap pages
  • letter sections
  • sensible trade paperback release schedule

Not the right words. DC is bleeding talent by the earholes, but they're still perfectly capable of standing tall. And Marvel's in a similar situation. There's a whole lot of writers moving to creator-owned, because there's a big fucked-up cultural shift in the way creators are treated by the corporate giants that are Warner and Disney.

What are the top rated comics right now? I'm trying to get back into them. I love DC more than Marvel but I've always been a fan of X-Men and Thor. There's just so many titles out there right now (Uncanny X-Force? WTH?) and a ton of creative teams I've never heard of. I used to collect mostly Marvel but I always loved reading Batman, JLA, Nightwing...

And is Straczynski up to anything?

Thor: God of Thunder #1 and #2 are out now, it's pretty great so far. Read the current Batman series written by Scott Snyder.

im so glad i found it.

Batman, Batman and Robin, Nightwing are good Batman family books. Talon is a Batman spinoff that has great potential. I'd also recommend Earth 2. JLA starts up again in January's.

You should check out Glory and Planetoid from Image.

All I'd recommend that no one else has are Aquaman, Batwoman, and Daredevil. Also, Uncanny X-Force if you haven't already decided.

Also seeing how it's 'relevant' right now, even if not Marvel or DC I'd recommend Walking Dead.

Isn't Jim Starlin a sci-fi writer I don't think he would be writing batgirl. Especially considering the rumor that
her book is getting cancelled since she'll be dead soon

Oh for fucks sake! Are you kidding me? No wonder they got rid of Gail, she'd never be willing to do that.

Look at the solicitation for March's issue of world's finest. I suspect it will happen in
Batman as part of the Death of the family arc

Are you referring to the thing krypt0nian was talking about earlier? If so, I don't think that's the (rumoured) spoiler.

Wouldn't it be hilarious sad if they just cripple her again and Starlin writes Superior Batgirl
Cassie/Steph
?

If
damian
dies it will be in
batman inc.
they have to kill someone for death in the family and it makes sense for
batgirl to die because they told gail she's off the book which could be an indicator its going on hiatus plus it says huntress hears about a tragedy that impacts her. Huntress used to be batgirl so that would make sense

The other character 'impacting' her would make even more sense, though.

God damn.

GOD DAMN!

Planetoid is SO good.

I'm ashamed I didn't immediately dive into this. It's quietly one of the best of the new batch of Image titles out there. Ken Garing is doing some fantastic world building, and he's not skipping any of the "boring stuff" which usually gets on my nerves with stories of this type.

This impresses me in ways that Prophet has not. From the actual execution of the ideas, to the draftsmanship. Graham seems content with name dropping and jumping from one "hey wow cool" moment to the next on Prophet.

Planetoid is the Image science fiction comic you need to be reading.

Ken Garing is too damn good.
Ok, BRO you sold me on Planetoid. I'm not getting enough sci fi elsewhere and the art you posted was shit hot. NOW LEAVE ME ALONE.

this better be good

but gail mentioned that she did not put someone in a refridgeator.

i hope Damain does not die i love him but it seems only morrison can write him well
