They didn't even play the Bakies winner, though.
What game?
Next year is stacked with bioshock infinite and last of us.

When do the northies become the bakies(for Troy baker)
I really think Hotline Miami has soundtrack of the year on lockdown imo

I predict XCOM will win GOTY, but won't be number 1 on anyone's list.

If Hotline Miami doesn't win "best music" from every outlet this year, tables will be flipped.I really think Hotline Miami has soundtrack of the year on lockdown imo
Looking at imdb, North had 17 appearances this year, while Baker had 24. But Baker has more "additional voices" while North has more protagonists (most notably AC and Spec Ops).
What game?
Kid Icarus Uprising. He plays Pyrrhon. He hams it up excellently.
Year of the bow award.
Journey

Tekken Tag Tournament 2
Does Snoop Lion have an original song in that game? Because if so, that'll win best licensed song.
Journey
Crysis 3, Tomb Raider and anything else? Can't remember that many...I think Jeff said they weren't going to do that one because too many of the bow relevant games got pushed to next year. Though there were still a lot of bows in 2012.
Fez
Seriously it is one of the best game soundtracks OF ALL TIME. Haunting, chilling, electronic music... just amazing and adds so much to the atmosphere of that game.
I still have this feeling that Brad would block an X-COM GOTY call.
Year of the Bow is still 2012. Ignoring the appearance of the bow in the likes of The Avengers, Brave and The Hunger Games, we still have Far Cry 3, Kid Icarus, Guardians of Middle Earth, Nintendoland, Wreckateer, Assassin's Creed 3, Dishonoured, Kingdoms of Amalur, Skylanders Giants and Trine 2. And of course, Binary Domain.
Don't deny us the one true award, Jeff.

Mass effect 3 soundtrack is pretty dope
This ain't year of the crossbow.

It mirror's the game. There are a few stand out tracks, but most of them weren't as memorable as in previous games. This one is excellent but there's nothing that comes close to the suicide mission song.
Rabbit season!
DUCKSEASONFIRE!
You dare deny Dave Lang a chance for glory?

All things considered, to me the perfect symbiosis of soundtrack and gameplay makes Journey stand out the most in terms of musical excellence (& it's my overall favourite game of this year).
I completely forgot about Journey. With that Walking Dead, Fez, Mark of the Ninja, Dust and Hotline Miami we might have more downloadable then retail games in the top 10 this year.
Weren't the tracks all licensed though? I'd really like to see Borderlands 2 win a soundtrack award somewhere, the score was exceptional throughout the game and I would never have expected it to be.
I just hope it comes down to 2 or 3 games again. The year where it got down to GOTY and everyone was just like "yeah, its Uncharted 2" made me sad (even though it obviously was Uncharted).
A little less than half were licensed. Though that should hardly disqualify it even if all of them were. It's not like any of that music was showing up in other games.
Did that happen? Uncharted vs Batman was a debate, it was Mass Effect 2 that was decided immediately.
Right?

Their best music award last year was called Best Original Music.
