*Shrug* you can turn him off. I think he does kinda a good job filling in for the lack of sound effects the game has at points (the sounds for hitting armored enemies, or hitting *non vital* points of a boss are either quiet, or non-existant...)

Cool.

I might try to live with it in the Arcade mode, but I didn't like it at all for the tutorial.

I know sometimes GAF worries if they don't hear from someone in a while. I won't be near a computer for a while, so if you don't hear from me don't worry just doing a bunch of stuff with the family, lol.

Deleted PBRAS today. On one hand I commend them for making a decently controlling game with a nice selection of costumes, and it being a very good Vita port. On the other hand, the base game is just ugly to me, the roster is subpar, all the levels are boring, and they try to ride a line where there's too many moves because it's too complex for a Smash game and too chaotic for a fighting game, pleasing very, very few in the process.

Overall, I'm glad I didn't pay money for it.

What's everyone's score on snap and slide 15 pieces in welcome park? I recently got it and did it in 33.049 seconds. The limit is 50 seconds. No idea how I got it that fast, but I'm kinda proud of it lol

Also, I enjoyed the demo for Smart Ass, the current price is too expensive though. Would consider buying it for $10 bucks.

Too horrible to count :lol

I'm terrible at those kinds of puzzles so I'm thankful I got through the one in AC: Liberation in 2 lucky moves.

If you don't post tomorrow, Sony kills the PSP2.

Please think of the PSP2, Takao. :(

Oh shiiiiiit.

By .08! A very proud moment.

Gotta say after having a Vita for a week, Im am so glad I got the White Vita from the Liberation bundle. It looks way better than the default black one.

Got mine yesterday. Now the unfortunate MP grind to the platinum. It honestly wouldn't be nearly as bad if the lame objectives weren't 99% of the experience.

Don't think I'll be getting the Platinum. As you say, seems like a hell of a grind.

How's the online community? Still well populated?

I'm actually feeling the opposite. If they gave the choice I probably would have taken the default. Less paranoia about smudges and in my opinion it just looks sleeker.

Haven't had much trouble finding 6+ people in lobbies yet. The only thing really holding it back for me is how objectives decide whether or not the event was a success. I'd rather just base experience for completion plus extra for place finished. Races are stupid when you have to hit a specific player which practically requires you to get behind them, negating the point of racing.

Protip: All the objectives are leaned toward Eliminator (er-"Combat") mode. VOTE IT. People may not like it, but fuck it, that's what the campaign is. You want to race? Go to cross-play.

Oh that's good! Not sure if it'll be the same on my time zone/region though.
Agreed, I don't like the sound of that stuff either. And the Combat stuff is probably my least favourite aspect of WipEout anyway.

I try to select Combat since that's the only mode that truly works but often either lvl1s or 50s choose race. The online should have had a little more thought put into it is all I'm saying.

sooo I'm done with AC:L. I didn't beat it, but I got to the cave part and fell through the world. Then rocks decided to glitch and kill me repeatedly. One time it bounced off a block and hit me after I dodged it.

Thank god I got this game for 2 bucks and I'm trading it for $20.

Actually, I found PS3's Zico harder than Vita's one, lol (maybe it's because I'm really good in WipEout). About the MP, it's like a roulette: you may find a challenge suitable for racing or combat AFTER you voted, which can be a bit frustrating ("Elite pass is killing 2 rivals in a race").

Anyways, Vita needs another racing game, there are only four worth it (WO2048, MotorStorm RC, Sonic ASR and NFS: MW)...

I think the ps3 zico is accepted by everybody to be the much tougher challenge. :P

Agree on racers. Even though it would be universally panned by diehards, I would love to see a Gran Turismo on Vita.

So Symphony of the Night is up on the PSN store finally (Aus).

I thought all PS1 games were Vita compatible, but it seems Tomba 1/2 and this are not?

Did anyone ever get an answer from @yosp as to why Vita owners should be watching the VGAs?

Also, I want to buy Surge, but I refuse to buy anything until Sony fixes my Big Sky Infinity problem.

Lost Undead Souls, a 2D side-scrolling spin-off of Dark Souls for the Vita where you play a Lost Undead whose goal is to obtain 200 souls before dying to [Undead Adventurers], gamers playing Dark Souls II on the PS3 utilizing the new networking option called Cross Souls.

They lost the trailer for it though, sorry!

nope, best guess is still Phantom Limb aka Metal Gear V(ita) with the theory that it's coming to the vita for two reasons
Interestingly, the screenshots’ dimensions are 960×540. The PS Vita display is 960×544. This would support the belief that the “V” in “Metal Gear Solid V” stands for “Vita,” as the Metal Gear Solid series typically numbers its games with numerals. But that’s just speculation.

but if that long shot isn't true then I can't think of any reason for that tweet.

To everyone asking about Vita compatibility for Castlevania: SOTN, we're trying to find out some answers for you today. Thanks.

:O

what is the problem with Big Sky Infinity?
I can't really quantify why I didn't like it based on the little I played yesterday. It didn't feel fun to play in the way that something like SSD immediately does. Something that Surge nails from the off for a quarter of the cost (if you're not on +).

Will play some more later or over the weekend if I can.

TBH removing it from the store isn't the worst move they could make. Different strokes for different folks but I prefer the version packed into the PSP Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles game.

I am having a blast playing MGS 1 in my Vita. I had never played it as i didn´t have a PSX. It is epic like MGS 4 and controls are great for such an elder game. Graphics have that 'retro' vibrant look that makes them a pleasure. I have just bought also MGS HD collection. What other PSX/PSP classic could i buy afterwards folks?. I am thinking about a Final Fantasy, but i am not sure, as i have always got bored with random fights in JRPGs...

I only played about 15 minutes last night, but I kinda liked it. The progression aspect hooked me and if I hadn't been playing it in the early hours of the morning, I'd have been there for a good while.

Perhaps 'crap' was a little blunt and hyperbolic, but I just didn't find it engaging. Some peculiar deaths, messy imagery and personally, I didn't get that sense of progression. It also chugs away when it tries to put a spin on the aesthetic which is basically unforgiveable for a shmup.

I haven't deleted it because I will give it another chance, there seem to be some fairly positive comments from a few people here so I'm gonna try and find out if there's another layer that I'm missing.
