I guess I haven't been in the loop, but how do I access the beta site, is it just available to some people?
Thanks!seaserpent.giantbomb.com

lmao they brought back the lost and damned QL. I've always wanted to see this again.
That entire first year of memberships was a bummer.
I disagree, the Whiskey Media Happy Hour consistently made me pleased to be a subscriber.

Why was it taken down?
Edit: Ah yeah ok, I just watched it. No wonder they took it down the main site, it's by far the worst quicklook I've seen.
What's so bad about it? Haven't seen.

It's 5 min long and SUPER edited. They skip a lot of stuff to only show the "critical" stuff and yet, you don't see shit lol. Except for 1 or 2 cinematics, it doesn't show anything about the game.
They were probably doing some experimentations back then to find a new "proper" quicklook format. Thank God they decided to continue the hour long undited quicklooks instead.
Can't find the Lost & Damned QL.
Encyclopedia Bombastica is a great little feature but I think they should have all the guys doing episodes of it.
I bet they all have random old games they could talk about a bunch and not just the walking gaming history encyclopaedic that is Jeff.
Wow, does that site still exist? All the daily premium content was clearly on anime vice.
I still don't really understand what any of them do during a given week. Bombcast for 3 hours then Ryan edits it. Alex maybe publishes one review. 3 or 4 quick looks. TNT for an hour.

They play a lot of games at work. See Brad and usually Patrick every Monday vid.I was under the impression that the vast majority of the game playing for a review takes place at home (aside from capturing footage) and that their work day is mostly writing, production, talking with publishers, prepping for future events, opening mail.
I think a few of them have noted that they work more than 8 hours a day almost all the time.
That is the idea. It's just that, for whatever reason, only Jeff has done them thus far.
What happened to Klepek's horror thing? Failed and given up completely?Jeff's the only one with the home setup at the moment for doing these recordings (and the games, and the systems, and the free time).

He was going to build a gaming PC and last I heard he ran into some tax issues he had to work out before making the purchase.
I don't get why "Encyclopedia Bombastica" isn't premium content and I say this as someone without a subscription.
I kinda feel bad for Jeff. I get the impression he feels the onus is on him to create all the additional content that goes on the site. Obviously he's the EiC so he'll always have more responsibility, but maybe Ryan or Brad could pick up the slack more?Jeff is really a content machine. Jar Times, Encyclopedia Bombastica, random streaming from home or the car.
Shame none of the others (apart from Patrick) produce any recurring content on their own. I would love to watch Vinny just playing Sleeping Dogs.
is jar time premium? (its always hard for me as a subscriber to tell what is free
Space Taxi looks really cool! It's old, but it's not as obviously limited by the hardware as Atari 2600 games generally are. Lots of cool little things like the table tennis ball and satellite dishes in there.
It's a C64 game. This would look way worse on the 2600.

That is pretty good

I must be watching the wrong episodes. I've mostly seen repetitive fights in repetitive dungeons and lots of time spent in menus fusing things. I'm sure it's fun to play, but it couldn't hold my interest to watch.
