Vita PSN Game & Service Thread 2

Story is big part of the games, I love stories in games and don't even skip them even the bad and annoying one, but TWD has no actual gameplay, so I feel better to actually "watch" a real movie than "watching" TWD. (again not talking about games in general here, just TWD..or something like Heavy Rain).

and yes TWD the game has D grade writing/story telling. IMO <----
I didn't think much of the writing in the first two episodes, but the last 3 episodes were great.

Edit: Buy DJMax Technika Tune, Virtue's Last Reward and Surge!

Ya it looks amazing. I really liked that game. Make sure you read the diary pages as you collect them. It really fills in the story and it's a lot more fun to try to figure out the twists before they tell you. A lot of people complain about the story being confusing, but I think those people probably weren't collecting and reading diary pages as they went.

Also, check your database every time you find Citizen E. He alters your entries.

Aveline is badass too.

really want to see another AC game from Sofia (Highly unlikely tho)I think they can do a better job next time with more development time and since they know the hardware now, and if Ubi give them more freedom with AC universe it will be even better to see their new ideas.

I could be missing some games too, that's quick count of what's installed on my PS3 or Vita (cross referenced with Vita trophy list).

Likes:
Shmups, Platformers, Square/Capcom JRPGs (at least Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger/Cross, BoF games) Puzzle (sometimes), Zelda, Metroidvania, Capcom Fighters, Arksys Fighters

Dislike:
Sports, SRPG, FPS (to a lesser extent)

I have a PS3, so I can transfer games to Vita if required.

There you go, Toma... I'll leave it up to you, I guess -- if you don't think I'd be a pain in the ass for someone to buy for, I'll do it.
Warning, I have a penchant for giving MBA or Sine Mora if my giftee doesn't have them and doesn't object. ;)

I tried googling and couldn't find a answer, so I have to ask if I get a Vita, which I am thinking of getting this month (no matter what getting one early next year) how much of the 4GB memory card is usable?

Like anything, its going to be less than 4GB. So I need to know how much exacly since I have plus and for now, money is tight so I may not wanna spend any money on retail games.

Also, if I get the plus version of a game and then get a retail version, since I literally am having a hard time making this desicion since I like collecting retail games so much. (Kinda pathetic I know.) Can I use PS Plus save cloud to transfer the save data from the digital version to a physical version?

Any help with these two questions would help me. Even if I don't get one this month, the Vita looks like a exceptional piece of hardware with some good games and I can't wait to get one soon.

so what I am getting is the person that gets you should just get you Grandia... as it's a jrpg and you don't seem to own it for some weird reason :P

.

I think almost all of it is usable but I am not 100% sure

Haha, yeah.

Get a 8Gb card if you can, Uncharted alone will pretty much fill that 4GB and it's part of your PS+ subscription. I can't honestly tell you how big the 4GB formats to though, the 32GB comes out at 29GB IIRC.

And yes, you can use the cloud save feature to transfer between digital and retail versions. I did exactly that with Uncharted.

Also for anyone not on the twitter, This months EDGE has a 4 page spread about the making of Velocity from Futurlab.

3822 MB capacity. And I think you should be able to transfer saves, but someone else will have to explain it.

i've been rocking a 4gb card since black friday. i'm pretty sure it comes 95-100% empty. i've been fine getting by honestly. especially if you're interested in going majority retail games. i currently have uncharted, final fantasy tactics, and mutant blobs attack on teh card. uncharted is about 3 gbs i'f im correct ) - def in the long run will end up getting a bigger card though, but it can easily hold you over if money is an issue.

Don't the cheapest Vita deals come with a 4gb card anyways? And TBH if he'd be able to restrain himself and play 1-3 games at a time, 4gb could last a while. After getting a 32gb one it's still gonna be a good Soul Sacrifice Demo card.

The problem is that he would have NO memory card since not every Vita bundle comes with a mem card.

So for my bf do you guys reckon a 4gb will be fine for a week until we get a 32gb or him?

That's about how long I went before getting my 32gb. Just tell him to make sure he backs up his save file in case he finishes a game and wants to make room for another. I lost my uncharted save due to not knowing how vita handles saves (really badly).

Yep, NHA calendar app which plays a "mini game" when you mark something as "achieved" in your calendar. I want it tooooo :/ Btw, I am working on the PM list.

Its an amaaaaaaaaaazing game and I want everyone to play it. Seriously. How far are you in atm?

I'm only an hour or two in. Started doing little quests for village people. I just love the environments, the art, the music.. it just looks gorgeous on the Vita's screen. It's a shame they don't let you take screenshots :\

I'm really hoping we start to get more of those apps here in the States.. it seems like most get stuck in EU or JP land, and it's a real shame.

You could craftily buy him a game that doesn't require a memory card...like Persona 4! (It doesn't require one in America, right? The Japanese version saves to the cart.)

tamaster, you're male, right? jw

Because everyone on a forum is male? Those questions dont matter, so why do people ask them >_< People are equally worthy or responsible of their posts, no matter the gender.

Thanks! More than I thought :D

And thanks for answering the save could question. I'm not gonna bother with a bigger memory card for a couple months since I plan to go retail and have a cloud save feature to swap out games.

If I get one this month, I'll either get Gravity Rush at retail, (especially if its $200 on Boxing Day which seems like a possability) or just use the download version...will also have Mutant Blobs, Jet Set Radio, and Motorstorm RC as downloads. Wipeout too, since I don't plan on buying that game anywayz. So plenty of games to last awhile.

That's too bad. The only other game I can think of (off the top of my head) is Army Corps of Hell. Unless he likes metal, though, this might cause a breakup. (And the US version might need a card, too...)

I know it sounds dumb but I want him to enjoy the vita lol xD

The 4gb card suited me for a couple of weeks when I got the First Edition Bundle all those months ago and it was fine. Of course, there wasn't as much content back then, but I would think it should still be fine.

Yush I am :3

Also I've never true game sharing before but am I right in thinking he can use my account and then play all my games as long as these two vitas are the only portable devices ?

Yes, but he'd probably want his own PSN account, right? For game sharing, you'd have to both use the same account.

So if the ZHP/Cladun 2 sales are still coming, they should activate tomorrow?

Also, anybody else have problems ordering Hori screen protectors from Amazon? Both times I've tried, the protectors have arrived creased

So many options xD

Huh, you are correct. Put in my other memory card, and no files.

Perhaps it was to save money on production, because the US one will sell less? Or maybe it's just because the US one is cheaper to buy.

As an aside, it seems the game just won't run with no memory card inserted.

Because everyone on a forum is male? Those questions dont matter, so why do people ask them >_< People are equally worthy or responsible of their posts, no matter the gender.

No, because tamaster's youtube account is "MRtamaster" and has a male voice, and here he was talking about a bf, so I was confused if that was the bf or tamaster, and I don't want to use the wrong pronoun. No need to get all defensive...

Well, you can only have one activated psn account per vita, so unless he's playing on your account, he can't play them on his vita.
