Vita PSN Game & Service Thread 2

Possible with save file manipulation or something. I was in a game where players were out of bounds. Either glitching or hacking, either way that made me shut the game off and never touch it again.

So that's just using a map exploit, not hacking.

What's in the patch?

Did they finally add checkpoints to where Veteran isn't an exercise in frustration? Did they fix the aim acceleration? Did they fix the hackers?
Per MisterC20XX:

--Fixes for random crashes that happen in the middle of Multi Player matches.
--Fixes for Chat functionality that isn’t properly restricted under restricted PlayStation Network account on Multi Player mode.
--Fixes for occasion, when kicked out of a lobby, the user will return to the main menu with no functionality or menu selections.
--Fixes for when “Create A Class” screen isn’t displayed and Back Ground screen remains when Client user selects “Create Class” on Party match making
--Fixes for scores will be sometimes be inconsistent when a player quits out/gets disconnected from a match, then joins another match
--Fixes for occasion when aerial kill streaks appear in the ground when called in.
--Fixes for when friendly nameplates do no not appear instantly
--Fixes for near class name being all uppercase.

So yeah, about Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed...it's not a good port.

Wipeout 2048 is better looking and run way better,Ridge Racer Vita is also better looking and run better, ModNation Racers: Road Trip is also a better looking game than Sonic but it drops frames way more (don't have Ben 10 so I can't talk about that one)

the framerate drops and what missing on tracks(they look flat) are just unacceptable when on the same hardware -almost a year ago- you got something amazing like Wipeout 2048,Vita can do better than this,I think game should've been delayed like the 3DS version,Sumo is better than this lazy port job and more development time will be better for us.

But I have to say this, It's not "uglier" than MK7(not sure what IGN reviewer were smoking).

Mario Kart still isn't that ugly. I'm glad Nintendo went with gameplay > visuals, 60FPS on a handheld racer is something you definitely don't see everyday.

the CodBlopsD update was 314 MB of bug fixes?!

was hoping they'd add some extra maps or an OPs mission (or two). Still love the game, at rank 40 in multi and I enjoy the CoD experience. The gunplay is tight and the graphics still look really good, to me, at least. The lighting is fantastic.

its a shame Vita Gaf turned their nose on it (it looks good and its addicitve fun). Sure its not an admirable effort on Activisions/Sonys behalf, but its a damn fine portable shooter. I realized I prefer these intense replayable OPs style missions for handheld.

It's a shame about Ridge Racer Vita. I hope Cellius makes a fleshed out, 60fps RR2.
I think Namco could give the game a second life if they would just re-release the game with all the DLC tracks/cars for $20. It's much better now than it was at launch (stable 30fps, significantly more content).

Game should've been a RR7 port from the start, though. All the interviews I've read indicate that this game had a COD:BLOPS:D-esque development crunch, or even worse.

Hopefully it's not the end of Ridge Racer on Vita. The game's presentation is slick as hell, and (by all accounts) the gameplay is as fun as ever.

I suspect they are working on RR for the Orbis first, then maybe a second game for the Vita.

Long shot but I will try - can someone test if LBP Vita bought in Germany has Polish language? Want to offload the game since my main Vita account is US one and I won't be able to use the Network Pass code.

Why not co-develop the a Vita version with cross-play? That would be incredible.

I've been waiting for a GOTY re-release but there's no sign of that happening :/

I don't know if that's really an excuse for Ridge - afaik all the launch games (starting with R5) had stupidly short development cycles. Although R7 was kind of cheating, being an R6 port.
But seeing how non-PSP handheld iterations turned out, they may have been more than just time constrained.

EU/AU got what you're asking for (ultimate edition) and it was on sale a month or so back .. when i got it for $19.99 AU.
A good price for the odd race here and there, the core racing gameplay is the same as ever but still enjoyable.

OK, first time for everything--I got into and finished a dozen or so matches in CODBOD tonight with no connection difficulties whatsoever. Lol, after a couple hours I actually chose to quit because I needed a break. That's the first time that's ever happened. Wifh this patch the differences in connection stability are quite significant. They should have just released a miltiplayer only game with more maps and modes because this really is COD MP on a handheld and it's pretty damn fun now that it works.

If it's a cart, can't you just pop it in and check or is your copy unopened?

It is unopened, but I think I will have to open it to be 100% sure, can't find that information anywhere. Oh well, hopefully I can mention it in item description and people will be understanding.

If I go to Poland and the product code for DE and PL version matched does that mean the same languages are available? I know the version sold in Poland with PEGI rating has Polish language.

Great to hear. I actually liked the MP when I got it to work.

Soul Sacrifice is quite possibly one of the best looking games on the VITA,it just looks, sounds and plays so freaking good.

Guys it's EDF for fucks sake!

Be excited!

Please :(

After playing the Vita game at TGS, I can't understand why I should be excited.

Much as I enjoy RR7, far more than that I'd rather have had a prettier Vita version of Ridge Racers 2 PSP. That game is so, so good. Or, hell Namco Bandai - just give us RR2 PERIOD in North America as a digital release.

Ok, sorry to sound like a broken record, but this Trophy Guide lists all the trophies for LBP:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/li...ittlebigplanet-vita-trophy-guide-roadmap.html

Offline has a Platinum trophy. Now, as I understand most of the time that means the game will allow me to get Platinum offline, just that trophy meter will not be at 100%, is that correct?

I don´t see how that is possible.. there is only one platinum trophy, and you have to get the online trophies to get it.. (unless I´m mistaken)..

In other games if Platinum is listed as offline trophy you can get it by getting all possible offline trophies. The only thing that will be different will be the meter not showing 100%, there will still be a Platinum trophy next to it.

Right, you have at least to play online to get multiplayer and versus trophies

10 aces in a row. (Particularly acing Odd World #3, I think...)

I did it but if you want there's a cheat. before you respawn from a death exit from LBP pressing PS button and closing the game. Death will not be counted

ohh didn´t know that.. lol

I'm getting all tingly just thinking about playing Sly on Vita...

They should do a greatest hits type of thing, like ridge racer on PSP, I'm really enjoying seeing previous tracks in the series.

I've not played RR2 PSP but that's supposed to be really good too.

I deleted RRT4 though. Couldn't get used to the drifting mechanic, it snaps out really abruptly. Used to be fine with rage and rrt4, so I guess more recent ridges with their slushy drifts have spoiled me.

The only time that would be true is if those online trophies were added in a separate list like DLC (which a couple of games do), so you'd still be getting the original list to 100% to get the Platinum. There are no games where you can get the Platinum without getting all of the original trophies, online or off. Don't know where you got that from.

Well, it seems I was mistaken. Thank you for clearing this out.

I'm hoping the SCEE festive sale information were getting later this morning includes some Vita or PSP discounts, as I'm not really interested in MK.

I know it's a long shot, but do you guys think Sony will ever make the PS2 classics compatible with the Vita? I know the PS2 architecture is weird and it might be difficult to emulate, but it would be great to have access to many PS2 games the way we have for many PS games.

Also, I'm having some trouble deciding between 2 games I'm thinking of buying. Gods Eater Burst seems interesting from a story perspective, but I've never been sold on the MonHun type gameplay. I've also been pondering Valkyria Chronicles 2 because of the art style, but don't find the setting that appealing and I'm worried I might not enjoy the gameplay? What can you tell me about these games? Or do you have any other suggestions?

It's just to sort how many trophies require you to actually be online to unlock. The Platinum is in the offline list because for the Trophy itself, you don't have to be online. Once you have all other Trophies it will pop up even if you're offline.
To get to Platinum completely offline there shouldn't be any Trophies listed as Online-Trophies. If there are, there's no way around it.

Both are solid titles, GE:B has more story than MH, also the fighting is way faster. However I'm afraid you grind for equipment just as badly, which is something I don't want to do.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 is great sRPG. Try to look up some videos on YT, the game controls the same all the way through.

Thx for the explanation.

nice...Reading the other thread it look like Textures Sacrifice is indeed a very solid game, but boy,it's one freaking ugly game, graphically speaking 3DS can do better.

I dunno Toto.... one of these days it would be nice if you eased up on the hyperbole.

Soul sacrifice has some iffy floor textures so its "one freaking ugly game, graphically speaking 3DS can do better" lol. Game looks great.

Same goes with sonic. Game looks nice. Sure its missing some effects but from the few hours I played yesterday it looks good and no way modnation looked better. Infact including those two games in a comparison and favouring modnation in any way is pretty crazy (maybe hyperbole from me???? nah...)

The frame rate drops are noticeable but not game breaking. Yes wipeout has set the bar I agree there though.

However I would imagine making a game like wipeout specifically for vita is easy to get running great than taking a port from more powerful machines and downscaling it. Im not a programmer so I dont know but I would assume so. From what I remember the 2048 game ran smoother than the HD and Fury Tracks (downports)..... at least I think thats what I remember.
