So the vita had a very strong few months...was that it?

Persona 4 Golden, Assassin's Creed Liberation, CoD Declassified (yeah, yeah), LBP Vita, a strong NFS: Most Wanted port...it's actually been a great time to be a vita owner these past few months leading up to Christmas.

But what's next? Besides Soul Sacrifice and MLB 13 I can't think of anything coming out next year, and that doesn't bode well at all. Are we seeing the beginning of the end?

I really hope not. I think it's a great system, and I probably played it more than any other this year.

Hopefully we'll see more stuff announced early in the year. Needs some strong titles to boost sales and confidence. PSO2 may help.

Tearaway? NG2S+? DOA5+?

Eventual Disgaea 4 port?

This is just absolutely troubling. I don't think there is anything exciting announced for even the far future.

It's a great little piece of hardware with a beautiful screen, but the only thing on my radar is the next Corpse Party, which is a psp game.

Killzone, MLB, Sly 4, Ratchet Frontal Assault, Soul Sacrifce and Tearaway are just some of the "big" games coming that we know of.

I actually bought the AC3L Vita combo, and traded in AC3L for P4G. I don't regret anything but I feel sad at how disappointed I was at Liberation.

The only thing that interests me at all on the Vita is Final Fantasy X HD, and even that is looking like a pipe dream at this point.

EDF, Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, Phantasy Star, MLB 13, Soul Sacrifice and those are just the ones that are confirmed for the west. All of which are out by March by the way.

There are a bunch of others that are Japan exclusive that we may see in the summer and onwards of 2013. Also obviously not counting the actual fall lineup.

Lets also not forget about Bend who's probably working on Uncharted GA2. And if it's not Uncharted it's something else that's equally big. They were hiring for a AAA Vita game.

I guess I had forgotten about Ratchet and Clank and Sly Cooper. Those should be pretty good.

Weird that they don't pop up as pre-order eligible on the Vita on Amazon.

I wonder why Ys IV remake hasn't been announced for any kind of localization. Pretty much the reason I bought the Vita. Besides -maybe- that and Phantasy Star things don't look too hot for me either.

A lot of stuff is coming out in Japan in the next three months. See this list. March is looking to be a huge month for the system in Japan, with Soul Sacrifice, Sei Madou Monogatari, Oboro Muramasa, Atelier Meruru Plus, Tales of Hearts R, Steins;Gate, Dead or Alive 5 Plus, and One Piece Pirate Warriors 2. It's almost as if Sony is trying to "relaunch" the console in March.

I'm waiting for the influx of FF games that will be made for it before getting one. Nothing interests me besides Gravity Rush and maybe Persona 4 at this point.

Ratchet is DD only on the Vita. If you want a physical version the PS3 copy comes with the Vita download for free.

There's not much announced for 2013 for the 3DS either. I'm sure stuff will get announced for both as the year goes on.

I want original games. That entire list seems really boring to me personally. Tearaway is the only upcoming game that really seems exciting to me. :(

Holy hell, these lists are littered with ports. Really puts things into perspective, things are looking extremely shitty for vita. Sure GAF might be excited for ps3 games on the vita but the majority of people would rather play these games on the ps3 they already own instead of spending $250 to play em on a portabe.

Would you consider these a strong few months?

Huh, I would disagree. The past few months wouldn't be what I consider strong. The future doesn't seem bright at all, to say the least.

I was at walmart the other day and to my surprise, saw the Vita section completely empty. No games left.

SELL YOUR VITAS, ITS ALL OVER! VITA IS DOOOOOOMED!

Seriously, 2013 will be fine. This year was great and I'm sure it was just the beginning. I have faith we'll see more announcements in the next couple of months. There are already other threads that go into good detail regarding what is already announced, so look into one of those. I think somebody else already posted a link.

Luigis mansion 2, monster hunter 3 ultimate, castlevania lords of shadow mirror of fate, fire emblem awakening, rune factory iv, smt: soul hackers, animal crossing New leaf, etc 3ds has quite a bit coming next year.

What would you consider a strong lineup?

I get that Vita doesn't have a mainstream lineup, but the content that has been released (niche as it may be) is excellent for the core gamer.
