Except apparently on PS3? Though I did play through it on PS3 and experienced some marked slowdown in later episodes. Great job on the GOTY content, BTW.

Only game in the top 10 list I have actually played is Journey. LOL. Good it made it into the top 5 considering the bro-tastic / shooter / xbox centric taste the bombers can have.
I will totally be ME3 and Sleeping dogs eventually though.
I do already own TWD after someone steam gifted it to me but I am not touching it until TT fixes the save issues on PC. If they dont fix it I wont touch it and I wont be buying any of TT games in the future. Something I bet wont be hard since this is the first game they made I was even interested in.
Its a shame I cant listen to any of these podcasts because I dont want any of the games spoiled for me but it sounds like there are no stupid moments like Ryan voting Skyrim GOTY even though he hasnt played it and since he never talked about it on the bombcast I can assume hasnt touched it since?

I was only making a funny observation of the contrast.
Still, excluding one version is kind of bullshit when you only do it when it suits you. And for what it's worth, Skyrim also had issues on every platform - it was only completely unplayable on one of them.

I know..... I just haven't played a lot of 2012 games in 2012.
Journey and SSX might be the only 2012 console or PC games I have played.

I never tried the controller. I usually ended up using anything I could find when I got the longer combos, like you said, but on a lot of floors point it was almost always necessary to use a gun at some point to get guys coming at you or else you would just run out of time to link the combo. My point was more than hearing them dismiss the use of guns in that game entirely most likely meant that they never really explored that game passed the puzzle-like phase where you just try to kill each guy one by one.
That would have been cool, but those guys have been and remain so busy working on the new site that it would have been totally ludicrous for us to ask that of them. We were lucky to get Dave for the 30 minutes it took to shoot that cop show bit.

Glad that Brad and Vinny defended Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. It´s a lot of fun playing with different classes, weapons and powers. Is very different from others shooters multiplayers and this create a good amount of fans. Patrick was very childish in his comments before realizing it was wrong.
Makes sense. Maybe next year.
I'm glad that bit made at least some sense, I was worried that joke was way funnier when we wrote it than in practice.

I guess that explains why no Daves random janky PC game award this year.
I had one bug which caused the camera to fall through the world but nothing super serious. The framerate could get quite hideous at times though as you said.
Finished listening to the final Bombcast, about GOTY.
I shed a tear for Hotline Miami, though Vinny saved Sleeping Dogs, at least, bless him.
And i'm glad they mentioned the glitches issues with TWD, since it's exactly what's keeping me from buying that damn game.
Now if there was a bit more clarity on what bug affects what platforms.
I mean i can live with slowdowns, but not with saves disappearing from one chapter to the next, that shit is massive for a game like this.

I don't disagree! In fact, I was sure RE6 would run away with that award in seconds flat. The argument the other guys made against AC3 was just so impassioned that I couldn't refute it, though. Had no idea going in exactly how much they disliked that game. I was honestly stunned by it.

I think you were already in the minority as someone who likes RE5. AC3 was just... something else. When your fake "off year" games are better than your mainline game, you know you've done something wrong.
See, I thought Workplace was the best of the lot, so I think they did really well with it.

AC3 definitely deserves that award.
I played every AC and loved all of them minus 1 (well Revelations wasn't amazing, to be fair) but i can't bring myself to finish AC3, just ugh.
Did Ryan do a 180 on ACIII? He gave it 4 stars. I'm trying to remember what he said during the most disappointing game discussion. Am I wrong in thinking that he personally agreed? Or was the expectation of ACIII that it would be amazing, and just good is disappointing enough?

I'm starting to wonder if I should give Syndicate another shot after a solid recommendation from Vinny/Jeff. Is it one of those games that only really shines in co-op or can I have fun with it playing through the single player?

Oh yeah. Although I don't think you can have the experience that got that game onto the top10 any more. It sounds like you had to be there at launch.

Yeah, Fez seems like a moment in time. I don't know any of the secrets but I'm aware that is where the meat of the game lies. It sounds like not being part of or at least a witness to the discovery process would probably take a lot away from the experience.

I do think it was the most accurate parody.
The shooting style, setting, acting and production values are spot on. I just hate The Office....
Roomies just didn't look right for the type of shot it was making fun of and it put me off.
It just looked like they went into the CBSi break room after hours. (Did they just use the office break room?)

Was Diablo 3 even mentioned during GOTY? It was like it didn't exist. I don't think it would have won or even made top 10, but Brad gave it 5 stars. I'm pretty sure 10,000,000 and Space Team got more airtime this week than D3.

I think it was just heavily hinted at when the dev was kicking up a fuss over XBLA patching fee's.
Probably just waiting out the standard 12 month XBLA exclusive deal most similar games sign before anything is announced or released.
