How does this work on Vita? I set it to upload automatically though it doesn't let you pick a time on Vita and I went to content manager to select which games to upload but I never get a message that it did it each day like I do on ps3.

leave your Vita on standby mode not completely off all night :)

It doesn't let you pick a time, but it always seems to be there whenever I get up. Keep in mind it only saves the games you played the previous day. Just to be sure, make sure your settings in content manager look like this:

The arrow indicated the games are uploaded automatically.

And this needs to be checked for each game:

This is what the notification will be. It also shows up on the lock screen if you haven't checked the notifications yet:

Edit: YES, what Kyon said, make sure your Vita isn't turned off. I never turn my Vita off because it doesn't need to be. Standby works great.

Jet set radio too I think
Joining PS Plus:

Do you leave your Vita in standby or do you power it off?

I think you have to enable auto upload (general) somewhere in the settings menus, then you go into CMA and make sure all the games you wish to upload have the little green check by them, then you leave your vita in standby and make sure the game isn't running.

It uses practically no power in standby mode. No reason to turn it off.

Yeah, pretty much.

Does Chronovolt REALLY need that ''epic'' storyline with ''epic battle music''? *sigh*

It's not really that bad of a freebie game exept for the slowdowns but it feels like someone decided to slap in a stypid text narration on a game that reaaaallly didn't need one. Annoying to try speedruns when stupid textboxes appear that say the same thing over and over in each level.

Does Chronovolt even need to exist?

I think that's the better question. I played 4 levels or so and decided I was done with it. Deleted it off my card. Thanks for the freebie, PS+.

Shit, my vita battery is dead. I left it on standby last night - almost a full charge, and its dead now. Charging with a flashing orange light.

Was playing through alundra and not sure if I'd saved it recently :/ was just leaving it suspended

Are there any issues with leaving PSOne games suspended and stopping vita sleeping? I've doing it for a couple of days now - normally it's suspended by pressing the home button so the live screen comes up, but I might have just left it 'live' and pressed the power button to pop it into sleep mode.

Edit: Derrick, if you play Vita fairly regularly you shouldn't worry about leaving it in sleep - it lasts *ages* normally

That is pretty good but I don't like leaving things on if I don't have to. It's un-needed wear and tear even if it is a very tiny amount.

Fair enough.

The part that I commend you for is not being pissy that auto-upload doesn't work for you because you don't use standby. Thank you for being a reasonable consumer/user, sir. :)

Same. I like my marble games, but chronovolt adds in a pointless and annoying 'quick the time is running out' at random places on the map, so you aren't encouraged to explore and can't take your time, which is exactly the opposite of what I want from that kind of game. I like doing fast runs through levels, but I want to learn the layouts first at my own pace thanks.

At least with PS+ it saved me from blind buying it, which I probably would have done.

Well I didn't know it wasn't working because of the standby thing. Honestly I wish we could just set a time like on PS3 and it would do it in the background even if it's on. I'm sure the Vita is capable of handling the few extra seconds of load/stress even if you're playing a game.

Wow. So I just charged my vita up, and alundra was still there! The battery was too low to even switch on, but I guess it holds some charge back to keep the suspended game running?

I hadn't suspended the game before sleeping it, so that might be why it had drained the battery.

Yeah, I've had the Vita die on me 3 times due to the battery while playing.
It's always saved the suspended game for me when I got it plugged in for next time.

I don't think the "suspend by pressing the home button" should matter. And PSOne games are low drain compared to Vita games and I do that with mine all the time and it's not like "OMG, holy crap, my battery is dead". At least not that I've noticed.

And if it gives you that "no battery" icon on the screen, it does reserve some power so that when you plug it in and it's ready to go, it's still got everything in a save state.

Sup peeps,

So I plan to make a couple Vita Game purchases soon..

Sonic Racing Transformed
MGS Collection
Rayman Origins

But my girlfriend actually said she wanted me to pick up a fighting game we can play so I need some advice...

She actually said she wants to play Mortal Kombat, Is it worth double dipping on Vita?

I was looking at UMvC3 since I havent picked up the PS3 version yet but its still full priced while PS3 is 20$ now...

And should I double dip with SF X T and the 2013 update coming soon? It would def get alot more playtime than what it does now on my PS3.

Did I miss any other fighting game? Thanks

Man, you just missed out on some swank discounts on MGS HD collection and Rayman Origins if you're a US guy; especially if you have PS+. :(

IMO, all 4 fighting games on the Vita are competent ports of their console brothers.
If you like one on your favorite console, you should like it on Vita.
I own UMvC3 and SFxT digitally. I refuse to buy BlazBlue EX digitally because CP is coming, so I'll want to dump it eventually. I was going to buy MK digitally when it seemed like PS+ might get a holiday discount on it for Vita but PS Store was unkind and made that deal only on the PS3 copy instead of both PS3 and Vita, so now I don't have that game any longer...

They're all good.
Go with whatever one is your preference.
(SFxT and UMvC3 won't be cheap any time soon, I don't think, though... you'll be more cost effective if you go with MK or BlazBlue EX.)

I know, I know, I'm a broken record, but...

SONY SMASH IS A PARTY GAME, NOT A FIGHTER!

MK on PS3 was great and the vita version is supposed to be great, although a little bit ugly. It's also pretty cheap.

SONY SMASH IS A PARTY GAME, NOT A FIGHTER!

It's a fighting game. It may not have the complexity you require for your fighters, but it's a fighter. It's a game whose ONLY objective is fighting. A party game is typically a collection of minigames.

Thanks N30RYU, I have PASBR, She loves it and we play together pretty much every day.

Blazblue might be a little too technical for her :P

That said, Ill take another look at UMVC3 and SFxT

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0074LJ3CE/?tag=neogaf0e-20

$20. Complete Edition. Prime Eligible Shipping. It's worth double dipping on the Vita, like with any game, if you will actually play it. Graphics aren't quite as good, but everything else is rock solid.

SFxT is an acquired taste. Mortal Kombat plays well but in-game character models are detracting for me. UMvC3 plays and looks good.

It may not be a traditional fighter, but I'd peg it squarely as a fighting game. A lot of the traditional mechanics are there, the difference being the scoring system and the fact that it has free movement.

Well... I'll compromise, I guess and give you "party fighter".
But that's as much as I'll concede. :P
