Wii U Monster Hunter is going to be my first MH-gane. I am excited. And I don't even know what for! Which makes it all the more exciting. :)
I always had an interest in the series, but never got around to actually try it. Now that I have a Wii U, there is simply no excuse.

My advice for a newcomer. Dont be scared off by the challenge of it all. It can be pretty daunting cause it takes a while to learn things. Also just jump online and start farming for gear. More fun with a group.
 
This year seems phenomenal, by the end we will hopefully have new consoles :o

I hope they're cheap

This is pretty good advice, since I'm always a bit reserved going online with a new game. That is what fighting games taught me hehe :)

Hah. Seriously just hopping on and taking down lower ranked stuff with friends is fun.

Mmhmm, thats what we did back on Tri. Although my wireless was much worst then. So..so many disconnects.

I'll play the 3DS version of MH3G at first too. Won't have the money to buy a Wii U anytime soon (I'll get one at some point though, probably when The Wonderful 101 comes out).

i'll be getting MHU too. i couldn't really play the PSP. i had the wii version but couldn't get into it.

I used to play MH3 with dragonlife, so... count me in to the gayGAF MH3 Wii U party!
I will also get the 3DS version, cause I <3 portability (and the save files are compatible)!

It's amazing how much gaf hates them lol. Yet Nintendo sticks around right in their face and we get threads like the Bayonetta one.
 
When I attended Video Games Live last year (EDIT: Oh right, 2011 isn't last year anymore) it was pretty clear the loudest cheering belonged to Halo, but Zelda was not that far actually. Mario remains popular around here but somehow not nearly as much as Zelda.

Im not surprised it seems tons at GAF dislike Halo4. But I do enjoy it, I can totally see problems like everyone else; but to me Halo 2 and Reach were rock bottom.

I dont discuss or debate much because I have no idea who I am talking to and what their experiences are with Halo games (played 3rd, none others, etc) so I dont think any meaningful discussion can arise.

And now i gotta get a real life pic for my avatar, peer pressure!!

I love Nintendo (yeah they sometimes do stupid things) I'm actually more of a Metroid/Kirby than a Zelda/Mario fan, I hate the shitty art style in the NSMB games and I just can't enjoy Nintendo Land got Zombi U instead. (How do people enjoy Nintendo Land, I just tried and I can't :( but I want to)

In other news (not that anyone cares), I just came out to my dad, it was really nice, well except for him being a mexican macho type and the stupid misconceptions he has. But finally told him, no drama, things are awkward but nice.

Nintendo could release an exact replica of whatever the ps4 or the 720 are going to be, they would still complain, their problem with Nintendo is something else.


Region free should be mandatory though, but I can't wait for the meltdowns once Sony and MS release info on their consoles, some people are in for a rude awakening.

:lol that was just a Hollister dressing room. I switched it because you couldn't really see what my hair was like done properly in it.
